Just tried to play on 'PartyPoker'.....was told that the president will no longer allow Americans to donate funds to the Carribean....no more on-line betting for U89??  RT, have you had the same issues with 'Paradise'??

RT no longer bets on poker online. RT has narrowed his activities to full time horse wagering year round and the occassional visit to the casino.

if anyone has any ballz, how about a trip out to turning stone on Friday night before Shoozapalooza to put on a  black jack and dice clinic???

'gro

yo reg, trade in monkeystompville...

Gro apologizes for endorsing the mountainegros last night... championship teams do not turn the ball over like that. Gro now hopes that Louisville runs the table, then gets denied a bid to the BCS championship game, giving yet another reason to have a 16 team playoff in DI-A.

re: Shoozapalooza

LLPP'ers,

Please RSVP for your attendance at the 2006 Shoes match in Troy.

RT trying to get a preliminary feel for the tailgaters from PP....Frank, RT already knows you will stop by, pregame.  So have we tightened up the RT/FR plan to work RT into the broadcast??

JT just checked his availability figured that since the Profs play Friday night, he might be able to slide up to Troy and catch his first Shoes game.  Just remembered that JT's new niece is getting baptized that Saturday, and JT is the Godfather. So maybe next year.  :'(

RT likes the value but his speed is middle of the pack. The money is going to go to the 3, 4, 9, 10 horses in this 14 horse field (unless there's sratches).  RT has never been a fan of Mike Smith and he's drawing a tough post here at #12 so he'll have to get out front early and hold it becasue he doesn't have the speed to close.

AJ....you're messing w/ my day here!! I was going to put together the 5 start plays later today but since you asked, RT will over up a 'preview pick' for the 4th at Churchill Downs tomorrow.

4th Race Churchill Downs - "The BC Juvenile" Grade1 Stakes, 1 1/16 mile

This is yet another challenging draw where RT looks for value and tries to see the trees through the forest. Todd Pletcher sends out 3 entries in this race but you have to contend with the Bob Baffert, Nick Zito, and William Mott entries as well. The money will be pretty spread out across 4 - 5 horses.

RT is going to go a bit unconventional here and go with the exact - 2,3 over the 2, 3, 4, 9. As a flat bet to hedge, RT will take the 6 across the board

The Rev thinks you might be screwed if you try to stay in Geneva this weekend, because a lot of the hotels will be filled with alumni fo rthe mey-raising campaign kick off.
Depending on whether you fly into ROC or SYR...stay in one of those two cities.  Rev thinks Geneva will be a loss.  However, should you choose to risk it, there is a nice Ramada Inn down on the lake.  And there is a Motel 6 up the street from Boswell Field.  I have stayed at the Motel 6, and for what Motel 6 is as a chain, it is a good one.
A couple of comments if you are thinking last minute to come to Geneva and stay in a hotel. Besides the Union-Hobart Football game, and the Campaign Kickoff, Trustees Meetings, William Smith is hosting the Liberty League Field Hockey Chamipionships Today and Tomorrow. Add to that Manhattanville Hockey on Saturday, and it is a busy weekend here.

Also, the Motel 6 was actually built as a midlevel chain hotel, that was out of Canada. The hotel was sold and the franchise changed to Motel 6. Hotels/Motels in the nearby include Hampton Inn, Ramada Lakefront, Behurst Castle, Geneva on the Lake, Motel 6, and the, um, Chanticleer. Towards Waterloo, you have a Holiday Inn and a Microtel.
Going the other way towards Canandaigua, there is a Super 8, Econo lodge and the Canandaigua Inn on the Lake. There are others, including some very nice B&Bs. Beyond that, you are looking at an Econo lodge or Budget inn at the Canandaigua exit, more at the  Victor Exit, including a Hampton Inn and Suites as the closest going west on the Thruway. The other way, at the Auburn/Weedsport Exit, there is a Best Western and Days Inn, or you have to dribe down the road a bit south to Auburn for a Holiday Inn and other choices.

PBR...

does that mean all 2 hotels with 20 rooms are booked?  ;D    just kidding...

So, RT, how confident are you that RPI will beat Union?  'gro was too chicken to take a wager on the game...I've got the perfect wager for you, though.

By the way, if the poll results are correct at the end of Saturday, then Hobart would actually win the LL title since Rochester would have two losses.  Technically, Union or Hobart could walk away at the end of the Hobart/Union game with the LL Championship.

hmm......RT could be convinced. However, RT would prefer to go to the derby once in his life. We could probably convince AJ to make the trip too.

Besides....is that really a tough wager? Belmont is enormous and seats probably are readily available. In RT's opinion, that's like wagering me on a $2 general admission entry to Saratoga....

Frank, why don't you wager that hunting timeshare you told ZA about?
