The sands is a dump...it's about time....

Not sure what they can fit in there though...That space is packed pretty tight. I guess it won't be the new sprawling resort types that they are coming out with....

Naked Nott Run

Anyone notice how none of the kids from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were even a little bit cool... Where was the athlete who pile drives wonka into the chocolate river??? Coulda done sooo much more with that "classic"

Wow -

TGP finally gets a chance to log on to LLPP and TGP's has pages and pages to go thru!

JPU - Not sure if there were any "boobs" at Hobart (or WS for that matter!)

U89 hopes these Rucks wings are better than Geppetto's!!

Ruck wings are to Geppetto's wings as filet mignon is to charbroiled squirrel.

The Engineers must be excited to see Marotti, Arcidiocano, Twitchell and Angeletta for one final time.

Blah... somebody is always the next big thing at union. Gilbert, Bebe, the guy who came before Bebe, that really ginormous DE (bruh-man #22), Wemberly (over rated... clap clap, clap clap clap).  Union will have another arcidiocano in 2 years. (this is not a shot at union, they are good at reloading).

Thanks for the compliment about the alma mater Gro'....this particular crop may be tougher to replace than you think. TA is the All-Time leading rusher in U's history and was so early in his senior season. He is also #18 right now All-Time in D3. Angiletta, broke the career receiving record during his Junior season. He missed most of this year otherwise that record would have been 100% untouchable. Twichell, if not for injuries, would have been right about on par with Angiletta stats wise. Talent wise, double Angiletta and leave Twich in single coverage, I dare you!

Football teams facing pivotal battles to keep their NCAA hopes alive

Jim Mandelaro, staff writer, Dem & Chron
November 8, 2006

It's must-win Saturday for several area football teams as the regular season winds down.

At Alfred, the Saxons host St. John Fisher with a share of the Empire 8 title on the line. The winner would still lose out on a conference tiebreaker to Springfield if the Pride beats Norwich, but would have a chance to earn one of seven at-large NCAA Division III Tournament berths.

"Last year we were in this position and let it slip away (a regular-season finale loss to Alfred)," Fisher senior tailback Mark Robinson says. "This time we'll come in 100 times more focused. If we win, we're definitely going to get in."

At Cortland, the sold-out Cortaca Jug game holds major significance in the wake of both Cortland and Ithaca losing last week. The loser is likely out of the NCAA picture.

At Geneva, Hobart faces a do-or-die finale against a surging University of Rochester team. The Statesmen (7-1) lost the Liberty League title and automatic NCAA berth to Union last weekend and now must beat a 7-2 UR team that has won five straight.

Fisher could be without starting quarterback Rob Kramer, who has a high ankle sprain. If he can't play, senior Nick Suchyna will get the call.

Cortland is 15th, Fisher 17th, Hobart 22nd and Ithaca 25th in the D3football.com poll.

Is Twitch the DIII version of Ocho Cinco??

Both Union and RPI seem to have record breaker after recordbreaker (team and indiv) for the last 6-7 years.

East Region
No. School, In-Region, Overall
1. Wilkes 9-0 9-0
2. Springfield 8-1 8-1
3. St. John Fisher 8-1 8-1
4. Union 7-1 7-1
5. Hobart 7-1 7-1
6. Rowan 5-1 6-2
7. Cortland State 7-1 8-1
8. Alfred 7-2 7-2
9. Curry 10-0 10-0
10. Ithaca 6-2 7-2

TGP has no issues with the top 5 other than maybe Rowan should be ahead of Bart, but Curry over IC?  TGP is no Bomber fan, but c'mon now!

RT concurs with TGP on Chicken Curry...that's like ranking a MAAC team in D1 ahead of an SEC team based on W-L alone.

RT does have an issue w/ SJF. RT is just not sold on the Red Roosters from Rochester. RT would flip flop SJF and Union...possibly even Hobart above SJF...

so-so performance, ZA.....RT was mildly interested until he saw the chic's arm and realized she was either from a circus act or worked in the boiler room on a Naval frigate.....
