RT,

I know this and I will shut up now because I do have the highest respect for your program and I'm just poking fun... good luck this week, but I do hope the scoreboard flashes 100-0...

PS what the hell is up with the 1880-1900 scores

4-2   5-4???? wtf... I think the schools confused football with the spanish FUTBOL
Anyone notice how none of the kids from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were even a little bit cool... Where was the athlete who pile drives wonka into the chocolate river??? Coulda done sooo much more with that "classic"

RPI's scoreboard can't flash 100-0 because RPI hasn't invested in such technology.  The last time a team at RPI scored 100 points in something was the bowling team in 1945.  However, RPI claims that team scored 101 points, while our records indicate it should've been 99.

For everything you've ever wanted to know about RPI Football check this archive. Union fans will love to see the shoes series record heavily in their favor. RPI fans can enjoy the fact that RPI has been the better program the past 10 years**.

It also shows the changes to college football scoring over the years.

hoops is an easy one to tie beauty to (cheerleaders, fans, etc). Here's tonight's homework for LLPP,Inc. Find hot chics in the following activities:

- karate
- bullfighting
- playing darts
- rodeo

RT as funny as this post was... NNR will explain why he refuses to search for such images...even though he already searched and failed....

Karate chicks- Far to scary. NNR found a really bangin broad and than the next picture she was kickin some dudes A$$

Bullfighting- If they are on the rag they have no chance at dodging...

Datrs- Do you really wanna give let women in on darts while drinking beer??? bar deaths would increase 983%

Rodeo- only way this works is if they are naked and look like Kelly Bundy

I would've loved to call a game 123 years ago (1883):

"...and Coach King, after opting against the FIVE-point field goal, is going to hope for the TWO-point touchdown and is going to go for the FOUR-point conversion!"

Where'd they mark the ball?  The equivalent of half-court in basketball?

RPI 1896

Shut out every single game during the season??? Holy crap

RPI flipped the script in 1911... 7-0-3 and didn't give up a single point, technically the best season untill 1999. Let's get some revenge on Rutgers for that 0-0 tie, put'em on the schedule in '07.

Hmmm.....I could respectfully disagree with the prior comment.....

"BUT I WON'T.....I WON'T..........THE HELL I WON'T"  (John Wayne, 1963, McClintock)

-  RPI's record from 1996 through 2005 is 73-25, a .74489 winning percentage.  Union's record over the same 10 years is 76-26, a .74509 winning percentage.

- In recent years, a number of RPI's wins have come against the Sisters of the Poor (Endicott), Cupcake U (Utica) and a high school powerhouse (Becker).

-  Head-to-head Union is 6-4 over the last ten years.  Coach Audino is 9-5 head-to-head vs Coach King all time.

But at the end of the day all that really matters is what have you done lately....like this season.....and last season.....and the season before that.

agree to disagree... wins are wins, and RPI's wins vs the dregs of D3 also got them 3 trips to the dance, one of which went to the semi's, and 3 ECAC titles the past 10 years. Let's not forget the 4 UCAA titles.

As you pointed out, the records are very similar and Union has had their share of success that I'm sure you can also list. The shoes differential should be #1. Don't know how important that game is for union but it means everything across the river.

But one man's opinion, one who happended to be accepted by both schools... If gro had to go back and make that decision again, based soley on football... he wouldn't change a thing.

RPI misrepresents historical records......claims that a win over Becker Junior College is just as important as a win over Springfield....

What next 'Gro.....you gonna spike the MadDogg20/20 with the date rape drug for your Union friends at Shooz II??  Contrary to Utah's earlier post, U89 will not be 'Lanced' into a drug induced event in Troy this weekend.

Union has 2 LL titles... which to me is a much more challenging and hard fought conference than the very under respected UCAA. The UCAA was so bad Rochester played in another division at the time...just they didn't have to be solely associated with the UCAA. We now have 3 playoff contenders (every year) in the LL with a couple other teams starting to show a lot of potential. STL, ROCH, and WPI showed a lot of progress this year. And NNR doesn't believe the shoes game is the most important thing to gro'. If you lost to Union in the shoes game and went on to win the national title... your telling me that shoes game means anything??? Not until the following year. It is the most awaited game of the season without a doubt... but IF and that's a big IF... a National title was won... what ya think gro'
