You're right RT....ONLY IN THE LIBERTY LEAGUE!!!

ZA hopes RPI can kick the S__t out of Cortland.

ZA will be listening to as many internet broadcasts possible all at one time....Three different computers in the house should help!!! Oh yeah, a laptop too...Thank God for wireless!!!

RT offered his services to WRPI as a color commentator for the ECAC game. The guys who run the show didn't even give RT the courtesy of a response back....the Guru sees it fit to give RT a shot on D3 game of the week. Frank sees fit to have RT on the Union broadcast for a game and in the pregame for the shoes. Would it not make sense for RT to get a sniff on his home station as a former player???  RT would like to mount an email campaign to get the support of the LL fans to get RT on the dial in 2007. Is anyone with RT????

Union fans:

It is with a very sad heart that I announce the passing of long-time Union Athletics friend and benefactor Dick Roberts.  Mr. Roberts, who was inducted into the Union College Athletics Hall of Fame just a few weeks ago, provided unwavering support to the Dutchmen program, both as a booster and as a fan.  Mr. Roberts was a graduate of Union College in 1950 and held several posts described in an excerpt from his Hall of Fame induction statement below.  At this time, I do not have information on arrangements made to honor Mr. Roberts.  I will try to update this as soon as I become aware.

DICK ROBERTS
Inducted in 2006
Dick Roberts' ('50) contributions to Union College Athletics were remarkable long after his playing days for the Dutchmen came to an end. He was known for his excellent defensive skills and assists on the basketball court of Alumni Gym, and was a co-captain and the recipient of the Bailey Cup, symbolic of leadership, after his 1949-50 senior season. Yet, he continued to define the word "assist," as a legal advisor to the college, a member of the Board of Trustees, an Athletic Advisory Committee representative, a fund raiser, athletic booster, and an ambassador of Union College. His devotion to his alma mater, and the college's athletic department, is unparalleled.

I knew stories of the man but never met him.....great loss for the Dutchmen family.

God Bless.

If you or anyone else would like to tell some of those stories, I placed a post on the Unionfootball.com blog for comments.  I'm sure his family would enjoy such posts during and after the celebration of his life.

ZA is addicted to LLPP! Last post after Union/RPI game, ZA was very direct at his disappointment at Union's predictability, especially on defense. Was "scolded" by another Union poster who told ZA to stop blaming the coaches for everything. ZA was going to make that his last post, but after reading 20 freakin pages of posts, ZA just can't stay away....LL Posters are without a doubt, the most creative and frankly, when its time to really talk football, they know how to talk football...But they also know how to have fun and promote comradre, even between intense rivals.  When ZA first started posting over a year or so ago, there was no way the LLPP was as tight as it is today and we owe that to the posters that have been here a long while before ZA ever started posting.

ZA makes no apologies for being critical of Union's predictability, especially on defense. This is an opinion based on experience, but that doesn't mean ZA is correct. Just an opinion. ZA believes wholeheartedly that Union will beat SJF, Hobart will beat Rowan and RPI and Rochester will win their games too. At least that's where ZA's loyalty will be....To the Liberty League...

U89 was hoping (and felt) that the last post follow ShoozII was not the end......

How can we:
1)  Have dea make his final post EVER
2)  Have dea make more educated posts which are more well thought out and with actual stats do defend his hypothesis.

PS - RT U89 loves you man but quit beggin'.....you did a hell of a job rounding up talent for those tailgate interviews.....but again stop beggin'.

He basically:

1) Did not say that his team's defense was going to shut down a prolific WR from the other team;

2) Avoided becoming the spotlight of the game through his own quotes; and

3) Showed he was the gentleman he was when he joined us twice during his injury time in the broadcast booth for a quarter each time.

Some players should take lessons.

Never met him, but have heard him in a number of interviews.....the kid has LOADS of talent and seems like a class act.

The first time U89 saw Angiletta, he had a monster diamond stud in his left ear....U89 thought, kid must be a pompous pr!ck....not so, very humble for all the attention he gets.

Yea, Id take WV but this is a tough game to pick for several reasons.

-Rivalry Game
-Has WV given up?
-Is Slayton full strength?
-Pittsburghs TE coach is an ex-Ithaca coach (cant go against that)
-Has Pittsburgh Given up?

All in all, West Virgina is the much better team.  I see them winning this game by more than 10.

I could understand a local paper misquoting a player maybe after covering a team for a couple games, but you can't tell me that a reporter would misquote the player before the 11th game of the season.  That reporter would have had his credentials suspended by now if that was his intent or pattern -- it would be career suicide to attempt to mangle quotes into that.  The NCAA allows a school to revoke credentials, so it is a feasible response from the school.  Thus, my feeling is that if SJF does nothing to investigate that sort of quoting, then SJF believes that it was said and feels it was appropriate.

Yes Frank, you're right - You are unbelievably accurate.

Can you believe last weekend Mark actually told me he was better than LaDainian Tomlinson - Which leads me to believe that he honestly feels he is.
