Frank are you broadcasting tomorrow? Didn't you say something about you retiring from the booth?

I said this is my last season.  I'll be there tomorrow in the booth for WRUC (89.7 FM near Union) and Teamline (www.teamline.cc).

So Frank, are they going to have a party for you after your last game tommorow?  (Im suprised no one has inserted similar joke yet today)

Nope, no party when the season ends.  Doubt that it woulda been tomorrow, though, so Superman can put away his party dress either way.

'gro

back in the day lil gro had one of those football instruction videos like the one Bill Parcells McBoobytits is selling... taught by none other than Bo Schembechler. Great vid by a great coach. way better than Tom Emansky's baseball video.

Michigan is gro's 2nd fav college team behind **cough** syracuse **cough**.

labart96

no wonder why gro can root for the bart (the "jr orangemen") when they are not playing rpi!

Still no one willing to admit they are a fan of the University of Rochester Yellowjackets?
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!

No UR posters have been sited on LLPP for quite some time - if ever.  TGP will be rooting for the Beez only in that beating the Fred's will help us in the LL vs. E8 argument.

'gro

agreed... the LL needs a strong weekend to claim top conference in NY, or else it's back to square 1.

superman57

sorry the E8 has the better top 4 than the liberty league, but the e8's bottom is so bad that it hurts the rest of the conference

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

That's exactly what was said last year going into this weekend as well.

I know the rankings aren't much to go by, but the E8 scored higher than the LL all year as far as the top four are concerned. Of course, I don't think IC was ranked low enough once this year, so maybe tradition and sh*t is a factor but who knows.

Springfield
Fisher
IC
Alfred

Hobart
Union
Rochester
RPI

I'd put IC and Alfred as better than UR or RPI... we'll get some more clues in both those games this weekend. And there's as much debate within the E8 about how good Springfield is as there is between conferences. But I think it goes to the E8 in this case... I feel about it how the NFL feels about replay... I think there needs to be overwhelming evidence that the LL's top four are better, and I don't see it. Everyone, even in here, has been quacking about how overrated Hobart is, and Union was tough to get a bead on all season long. Fisher and Springfield pretty much had unfettered success.

You are all right though, a lot will be answered this weekend.

Naked Nott Run

gotta remember the U didnt have their top reciever when we played springfield... but he was their against rpi... hmmm
Anyone notice how none of the kids from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were even a little bit cool... Where was the athlete who pile drives wonka into the chocolate river??? Coulda done sooo much more with that "classic"

Jonny Utah

I think another small factor is that Ithaca probably is better at home on the slop at this point in the season, while Springfield and Union (and maybe SJF) are better on the turf

Two things from U89,

1)  That Firefox browser is whupass.......thx Pat!!

2)  U89 agrees with the analysis of the Dutchmen.....unless they can find some consistency, they will go nowhere.

I love Firefox and I never use anything else at home ... except to occasionally check new portions of D3football and D3hoops to make sure they load. :)

"Scored higher" based on what?

TGP thinks IC has been just as inconsistent as RPI was this season.  IC was able to beat SC, but then goes and loses to Alfred.  RPI beat Union but lost to SLU.  Incredibly frustrating to both alumni bases.  If RPI beats Cortland then theoretically that's a point in favor of the LL since Cortland beat IC.

Rocho has played everyone tough as has Alfred.  Their match up will probably tell us more about the relative strength of each conference than any other IMO.

However, SJF vs. Union will definitely be viewed as the headliner for obvious reasons.

Unfortunately Hobart's status as "over-rated" may remain a mystery unless they beat Rowan.

Can't wait to see how it shakes out.
