sorry did you just compare losing to Alfred and St. Larwence as the same thing... Alfred is in the top 4 argument while SLU is in the bottom of the league

Not the "SAME" - just saying that to IC losing to Alfred (a team they had dominated for years) was akin to RPI losing to SLU, who RPI regularly beat for years and years until this season (and it was SLU btw who lost to Alfred by 3 pts when they played this season - not exactly a "bottom of the league" performance vs. your 3rd place club).

Jonny Utah

Even after this weekend though you still cant say some team is "better" than the other.  Very evenly ranked all around.  I think the only positive thing you can say is that the LL is better from top to bottom than the E8)  Other than that everything is just an opinion.

Union beat Ithaca last year but that game easily could have gone either way.  Same goes for the IC/Cortland game this year, or the IC/SJF game last year, or the Union/SC game this year.  Pretty even teams all around, just depends on whos going to play better that day.

sorry the E8 has the better top 4 than the liberty league, but the e8's bottom is so bad that it hurts the rest of the conference

That's exactly what was said last year going into this weekend as well.

I know the rankings aren't much to go by, but the E8 scored higher than the LL all year as far as the top four are concerned. Of course, I don't think IC was ranked low enough once this year, so maybe tradition and sh*t is a factor but who knows.

Springfield
Fisher
IC
Alfred

Hobart
Union
Rochester
RPI

I'd put IC and Alfred as better than UR or RPI... we'll get some more clues in both those games this weekend. And there's as much debate within the E8 about how good Springfield is as there is between conferences. But I think it goes to the E8 in this case... I feel about it how the NFL feels about replay... I think there needs to be overwhelming evidence that the LL's top four are better, and I don't see it. Everyone, even in here, has been quacking about how overrated Hobart is, and Union was tough to get a bead on all season long. Fisher and Springfield pretty much had unfettered success.

You are all right though, a lot will be answered this weekend.

"Scored higher" based on what?

TGP thinks IC has been just as inconsistent as RPI was this season.  IC was able to beat SC, but then goes and loses to Alfred.  RPI beat Union but lost to SLU.  Incredibly frustrating to both alumni bases.  If RPI beats Cortland then theoretically that's a point in favor of the LL since Cortland beat IC.

Rocho has played everyone tough as has Alfred.  Their match up will probably tell us more about the relative strength of each conference than any other matchup.

However, SJF vs. Union will definitely be viewd as the headliner.  Unfortunately Hobart's status as "over-rated" may remain a mystery unless they beat Rowan.

Can't wait to see how it shakes out.

"Scored higer" based on who has been ranked higher most of the year.

IC lost to an Alfred team that has a case of being as good as IC was this year... they were really impressive.

Also, I have to say that my view on U of R is very skewed because I saw them play like **** against Fisher and haven't seen them since.

I'll jump on the Ho bandwagon if they beat Rowan... hell I'll become a Ho fan!

Also, as usual, JU is the voice of reason. (Not sarcasm)

KS has a situation he needs the LLPP Inc's opinion on.  KS decided that for his birthday he would bid on a "Lawsuit" Ibanez Hofner Beatle Bass copy.  KS won the auction on Ebay and got the bass for under 300.00 total for the bass and shipping.  The seller shipped within a day or so of receiving payment through paypal.  The seller shipped Fedex.  KS got the shipping email from fedex with the tracking number.  KS should have received the bass today.  KS got an email while at work and it said the bass was delivered to KS house.  KS calls home and speaks to MKS, she said that she did not receive the bass, MKS checks with the neighbors and none of them saw a Fedex truck all day.  KS clicks on the tracking number link and to his surprise KS notices that the Fedex driver left the package on the porch because the moron shipping the package did not require a signature upon receipt of the package.  KS calls Fedex and the minimum wage earning customer service agent who can barely talk says that the drivers can just leave the package if no signature is required.  KS can understand that, and it can work in small towns in the middle of nowhere, but how stupid can the driver be to leave a package sitting on the porch in Jersey City?  Maybe the crackhead he got directions from told him to just leave it.

KS needs to know if anyone else has encountered this type of thing.  KS is pissed and wants a bass or his money back.

How was SLU bottom of the league? They were 5th in the league with a 5-4 WINNING RECORD... all 4 losses...

3 best records in LL
UNION
HOBART
ROCHESTER

and

ALFRED by 3

So yes, I do believe they hung with Alfred... So it shouldnt be awful to compare them somewhat...

And if you are saying SLU is the worst in our league... they do, as I said have a winning record...which would mean no one in the LL had a losing record? Which could further go against the E8 since you had 3 teams go below .500.

They also had their logo bought by the St. Louis Cardinals who won a world series this year... so we are adding the 2006 world series title to the LL...

Recap

LL- 2 losing teams (in reality)   0- according to you
E8- 3 losing teams

Records
LL- 39- 26  .600 winning percentage
E8- 41- 29 .585 winning percentage

there were 6 total games played between our conferences this year which ended in a 3-3 split...

So as you can see... to say you guys are obiously scoring higher than us... well I would have to say that is absolutely absurd assessment of analyzed data...

Moreover, I think you may have been speaking out of what one may call a butthole... just to show you were behind your conference. NNR will allow it, but wants you to be aware... that continued talking out of the rectum will result in your opinion being meaningless... You are a standup guy... so standup and admit your mistake sir :)...
ok I am done being an idiot for the night :)
Anyone notice how none of the kids from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were even a little bit cool... Where was the athlete who pile drives wonka into the chocolate river??? Coulda done sooo much more with that "classic"

superman57

I never said that you guys were scoring higher on us... My comments were that our top of the league is better but your bottom of the league is much better then our bottom of the league...and no I did not mean that Alfred was the bottom but they are not in the top half

So KS is still pissed off, KS just got an email back from the seller basically saying it is KS fault for not being home.  I guess this is what happens when KS does business with California people.

KS...that blows and RT feels for you. As a shipper, RT has gone both ways - on one hand, RT likes to ship w/ no signature required so that someone doesn't have to wait if they're at work (RT hates to have to find a FedEx or UPS facility himself). However, if RT ships something of value, he doesn't want it stolen so he requires a signature....guess it depends. In this case, KS probably should've told reminded the guy to require a signature....and the guy should've known better. It's not a good situation but one question is "what kind of account is your paypal tied to?..a credit card or checking account?" If it's a credit card, KS can file a dispute and explain what happened...they may credit your account. Maybe even PayPal can file a dispute...
