You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I just read a stat that Paul vosburgh is 36-9 over the last 4 years...impressive....this team has really turned it around

and the wr 23 had one of the greatest catches I've ever seen he jumped up and caught over the head of a Fisher player and sitll came down with the ball

It's easy to see why #23 had all of the hype - he's the real deal. He's a tremendous WR. You did notice however that all of their yardage & thus points came when Fisher was up about 35-3 and were taking the starters out.

The problem with falling behind like that though, is that now a team HAS to do things that are more desperate than normal to get back into the game.  IF ZA has to throw on almost every down and the opponent knows it...the chances of a 20 point lead doubling is very high. The turning point to ZA as far as keeping the game somewhat competitive, was that nice Union drive that ended up with the interception early in the third quarter (speaking of the interception when it looked like Union was going to possibly climb back in and instead, a 100 yard interception return puts the game into a different category....)  That was just too much for any team to overcome in ZA's opinon.  Then again, ZA saw NO signs of U's defense being able to stop SJF...No signs at all.

They played tough D, but the Fisher offense is just that good. Nobody believes that until they play them evidently.

Oh no doubt - he's a great WR.

On the other hand... #1 is not what he was cracked up to be.

Tags, that's kind of a "weak" statement regarding #1. ZA has seen great division III running backs totally shut down by Union teams in the past and has seen other great Union running backs shut down by others. Of all the positions in football, even the best of the best have been shut down. Yes, super backs get yards without good blocking sometimes and they break tackles and spin and do things that other backs cannot do.  That IS Arcidiacono. He has had runs that would rival anyone's highlight films....Some in the bizzarro category.  But, even the best get shut down sometimes.  Sh_t happens.  IF this was the other way around, and Unions defensive line dominated like SJF's did, and Robinson only touched the ball 11 times and was held to unimpressive numbers, ZA would NEVER judge Robinson or any other back by that one game, but by the 30 or 40 games that same runner showed nothing but talent, desire, dominance, etc.....You don't get the kind of numbers Arcidiacono has without being the real deal, unless you've been playing "nobodies"....Union had choices years ago to play teams that were struggling, but always chose to play teams like Springfield, Muhlenburg, Dickinson, College of New Jersey, Albany State, not to mention some very tough teams in the LL.  Arcidiacono is and has been, a phenomenal running back.

This site is officially closed for business....hey Red Tackle....good prediction last night

Check out my prediction last night "SJF 42  Union 21"

Not too bad huh?

By Liberty League....thanks for playin this year!

classy post...obviously RT got under your skin. RT loved to line up against guys like you in the day because he could easily take you out of your game (if you even had a game). Ok...you won today, so what? Congrats on that. RT doesn't think you'll get out of round 2. That's RT's opinion and he's entitled to it. You sound like a whiner coming back to the LL board pounding your chest.

RT is flattered you paid such close attention to his predictions and took them to heart.

...and learn how to spell

I'd like to put all of the other stuff to bed for a moment to wish Frank best of luck in his retirement. As I understand it he was done broadcasting when Union's season was over. His loyalty & dedication to the school is admirable.

While I'd thank Tags for the sentiment, as I've said, I'm not disappearing.  You don't attend 75 consecutive Union games and just go poof (unless something bad happens when I try to push the asteroid away from Earth for NASA).  I just will not be maintaining an official capacity for the Dutchmen in the foreseeable future.  What that means?  I'm not even sure.  I'm going to just relax and enjoy the feeling of three great seasons for a while.

As for today's game -- no excuses here.  Union got plain ol' beaten out there.  Congrats to SJF, and I do wish them well (yes, I can root for E8 teams).  Will Sharpe get 7TDs?  No.  However, SJF and Springfield have both gone through wake-up calls over the past five or six weeks (SJF vs. Springfield and Springfield vs. Ithaca).  I think that makes the next matchup between them a classic next week.

SJF -- your team was a class act today.  Your fan base extended that class act.  Thank you for playing gracious hosts, and good luck.  In the meantime, this is the time of year that the LLPP is the most fun -- random stuff every day pretty much.  Who's got my cheerleaders?!

you heard it here fist....RT's prediction: Frank Rossi has 2nd thoughts and recaptures the eye of the tiger and is back on the airwaves in 2007 for another season. The student station today was an unsuccesful experiment and Frank puts the same quality product on the field in 2007

RT, superman understands your setiments towards to ff82 but on fishers behalf this is a big win for us...and we were getting dogged pretty bad this week...so while ff82 went over board don't judge all of us for some's behavior

Rev that's a lot of hours to be working on a Saturday my man

It's pretty typical.  Sadly.

This week will be a killer, as the Thanksgiving travel crowd will storm the beach-head starting Tuesday, with the full invasion taking place on Wednesday.

The Rev expects to wake at 2 a.m. on Wednesday, but reckons he will be in bed by 5 p.m.

Hey I just stated my opinion. I never said he hasn't had a great career, nor did I say he hasn't had some great runs. I said I didn't think he was worth the hype. Your WR is the best player in my opinion... He only touched the ball 11 times b/c they couldn't run the ball.

superman has spent enough time in the LL for him to know that RT is fair and level headed....but RT also likes to be up in someone's grill because that's how we roll in here. ff82 can't hang in here, obviously....he obviously took it personal based upon his reactions tonight and not being a gracious winner. That's ok..RT has no probs with that. ff82 is just showing himself for what he is...RT doesn't hold all Fisher fans to those standards

To his defense RT I got caught up in it the past week as well as you know. I'm usually not that nutty about things - I suppose it's just that time of year. I did try to pull FF82 back tonight however ... I saw where it was going.
