Gro,

We all knew what your answer would be....but Reg cannot BELIEVE that someone in HR could promote that. Reg always thinks...."hey what if they keep a list of the people that "contributed" to the shower"  What if they hold it against you?  How weird is it going to be when you see the person walking down the hall?

I guess the good thing is that the person will be out of the office for a little while, giving Gro a "buffer".  Maybe she will forget....maybe not.

this is why MrsRT said what she said re: this

What in the hell is this bullsh**?

Michael Richards may truly be insane...the Kramer thing wasn't necessarily an act.  Any rational explanation for this one?!

Stupid crap like the HR party is exactly the reason TGP loves "The Office".  The comedy (and stupidity) that ensues in the workplace can often defy logic.

RT - TGP sends his best to PapaRT.  TGP's family went thru a similiar experience (but with TGP's grandmother) back in 2005.

TGP will likely be shutting it down for the rest of the season - got TGP's folks arriving from the East Coast tomorrow and doing the whole family vacation thing.  Then it's Xmas, holiday parties, etc, etc.

Wishing all in the LLPP a happy holiday season!

gro send a gift like the one pbr saw channel surfing yesterday where at the girls baby shower she was a huge racing fan and they all gave her power tools....pbr suggests rather than a nice cute little outfit send along a dewalt 18v cordless drill....

during lunch today it was discussed in the office man league that

A.) no one is going to this shower (that's a given)
and
B.) no one is going to the office Christmas party (last year's was LAME)

another man law in the books. see you next week.

That's one of the worst things I've ever seen. I'm not going to be able to watch Seinfeld for a while.

Reno, would you say that Unions oline from last year to this year was the biggest difference in the end result (plus the WR injury)?  I know for one that Unions oline last year was probably the most underated part of their team and maybe the best part of their team.

Looking at the season as a whole, and especially the way the team ended up, Reno would have to call that a true statement. There were times early in the year, and through the meat of the schedule when you would say the biggest difference between the 2 teams was that Union's Secondary was just not the same. The secondary had lost an All-American in Chris Nappi and had a few returneres who were just not playing to the expectations they set. As any football fan knows, not playing good in the secondary leads to quick scores for the opponent. The last 2 games of the season, what really showed was the inexperience of Union's O-line. Though the previous O-line had not won a whole lot of games going into 05', they were all 3-4 year starters and the final 7 games of 04' they had gone 6-1 (the only loss coming to Hobart in OT) and TA had been hurt most of 04' also. The bottom line is the going got rough at several points in 2005 for Union but the thing you could hang your hat on was that that O-line was going to protect Marotti (TA didnt always get great blocking). When the going got rough in 06' (and it wasnt until Game 9), there was nothing for Union to hang it's hat on. The group had played well all year, but it had never been flat out stopped. As any football fan or former player knows, sometimes you get stopped, you need to respond in a positive manner to that adversity and this group did not....probably because they had never had to experience that kind of adversity in their college careers.
