How are we allowing the Cortland State fan's to slither out of 2006 unscathed??

Thank God RPI rolled the Dragons in the ECAC Game.  Prior to the game, the Cortland supporters were b!tching and moaning that they got screwed by the committee....initially, U89 actually had some sympathy for their situation.  The complaining got sooooo bad that U89 began to hate everything Cortland.  Dragon fans tossed rocks at Ithaca for declining a possible invite to the ECAC's....Instead of going out and proving their arguement against RPI, CS got smoked....proving the committee correct.  Post ECAC, the CS fans come on here and claim that the ECAC game was not important to them and didn't matter to the '06 season.

Sorry Cortland...doesn't work that way!!!  What did RPI have to play for their final 2 games....they spoiled Unions season by killing a possible home NCAA date in Schenectady, then the next week they smoked the Dragon's in Cortland!!  This should help RPI with their recruiting and moving into the '07 season......Either prove the committee wrong with a drubbing of RPI or stay home like Ithaca.

U89 votes for the Cortland State Dragon fans as the biggest whinners of 2006....congrats, your prize is a bronze cup filled with frozen cat turd!!

I let them off the hook for 2 reasons.  1, I really didn't expect to win.  Why?  Well, based on RPI's regular season, I just didn't know if they were really very good, or even deserving of an ECAC game.  Then, they go out and beat a Cortland team, who, a week ago, I felt got screwed at 9-1.  There are a lot of things that this could mean, such as:

1.  The NJAC isn't as good as everyone thinks.
2.  The LL isn't as bad as everyone thinks.
3.  RPI was much better than they showed all year.
4.  Cortland was vastly overrated.
5.  The NCAA made a wise decision leaving Corltand out.
6.  RPI's coaches only like to coach in the ECAC's or vs. Union.
7.  RPI, Union, Hobart, Rochester, and St. Lawrence are all better than the NJAC's second best team.

I don't know.

Damn straight!

The Rev was displeased by Cortland fans' assertion that Hobart did not deserve a Pool C bid.  How many excuses did we hear?  What kind of blame went around and around?  Sheesh!

First: The Rev is not convinced that Cortland proved that it was superior to Hobart in regular season play.
Second: The Rev is convinced that Hobart proved that it was superior to Cortland in post-season play.

On the other hand, Cortland has a massive Phys Ed department, while Hobart has feminist Men's Studies.

Cortland wins that one hands down.

U89 agrees Rev, why hate the Statesmen for Cortland's snub....Cortland should hate the St. John's Johnnies for not taking care of business on the last day of the regular season.  That's where their Pool C bid dried up.

The LL has some pretty good victories in the past few years... RPI, Union and Hobart have all beaten Ithaca (reg season, ECAC, and NCAAs)  RPI and Hobart beat Cortland in the post season.  RPI has 2 wins against the "new" fisher. Union has beat Springfield a few times and RPI took it to them in the NCAAs.

So all the people that want to down the LL for this year's quick exit. go ahead. The LL has proved it can hang, and we'll be sending 2 to the dance in '07. Taste that!!

p.s. The big 3 in the LL have all lost to Rowan in the NCAA's... damn you doo doo brown owls!!

Touchdown Tommy

GRO: Time to get in the Kinger's ear to set up the home and home with the Johnnies.  We'll bring the Hamm's and you guys bring the car bombs.  How bout the first game in the new facilities at RPI?
Chasing MILFs since '82...

TDT, you're the construction guru. They break ground on Enginegro Stadium in the spring. Will it be ready for the '08 opener?

p.s. Kinger could take gags in a fight.

I know that the LL has made plenty of progress but one of your best teams just got smoked by a school that has only been D3 for maybe 16-17 years...and a very bad D3 team up untill 2002 when they finally had their first winning record.

That makes zero sense.  Dude, you're a moron.  16-17 years?  Is that not enough time to field a decent squad.  Fisher is good this year.  Union was decent, and didn't match up, or show up vs. them.  Fisher was supposedly high and almighty last year, and RPI beat them, as usual, in the ECAC's.  You're a complete moron.

superman57

I'm a moron...go check the facts... Fisher was an NAIA school for a while and was a club back in the late 80's not even a varsity program...Fisher has been a basketball school for a long time... The reason football has come around has to do with the new facilities that also brought in the Bills.  So don't call me an idiot unless you check the facts.

The Truth 00

superman, stupid comment. the number of years has nothing to do with the argument. fisher decided to pump money into the program...and lets not forget about the buffalo bills training at growney. that helps a tremendous amount.

Rolevio thinks you can stop comparing how long a program has been around when the school goes varsity when most of the current players were still watching Sesame Street.

What the hell does that have to do with anything?  You're right, they have great facilities, and it attracts great talent.  Does their life span make a difference?  Is there a 50 year waiting period before you can have a good team?  No, there isn't.  So your argument is garbage.  Fisher proved they are better than UNION this year.

Springfield killed your boys, Ithaca killed Springfield, And you beat up Ithaca, and once again, the world spins round and round and round.  What does it all mean?  Apparently that Fisher is better, because they have only had a program for 16-17 years.

never mind...

Exactly.  Your argument was pointless.  What does this year's Fisher Union score have to do with Fisher sucking until 2002?  It's completely idiotic and pointless.  If you want to get a rise, you got one.  And the answer is that you are pair of humongous clown shoes.
