To ZA, Guru is right on with this one....(sorry Frank old buddy)  10 games is the only way to go....ESPECIALLY in DIII where most players make their mark, have their best memories of all time, then march into the battlefield called the damn "work-place"....where they have to decipher which football skills they can apply to the work place without clothes-lining the dip-sh__t they might be working with.....

good post.

It really is too bad Reebok cancelled those Terry Tate office lineback ads.  That really could have caught on thus easing the transition to the workforce for former D3 ballplayers.

maybe they can film it at rpi now.....

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- It looks like Hollywood will not revisit the 1984 comedy "Revenge of the Nerds" after all.
Fox Atomic had already begun developing the remake when Atlanta's Emory
University pulled out of the project, leaving it with no location to shoot,
Daily Variety reported.
Then, Fox Atomic chief Peter Rice decided the film was too small for the teen-oriented film company launched last year, Variety said.
"Everybody worked very hard on 'Revenge of the Nerds,' and we're all extremely disappointed that we can't move forward," he said in making the announcement that the film will not happen.
Everyone who participated in the project -- including director Kyle Newman and cast Katie Cassidy, Jenna Dewan and Dan Byrd -- were compensated, Fox Atomic said.

Gro,

When Reg is home in Vernon, Reg goes bananas....and it is SO great to see all the losers from HS that are still living in Vernon, in their parents houses or a 1 br apt.

When Reg is confronted with the "where are you now...what do you do?"  he tries to get out of it as easy as possible without talking more than 1 min.

I may go out in MR's home town, but I'll bet she wants to stay home and hang out with the family.  I don't care either way...I just have to decide what delicious gold frothy beverage I am going to be drinking....
Miller light?
miller genuine draft light
Coors light?
michelob ultra
or rolling rock light

I can't take a microbrew for 3 straight days of debauchery...it has to be domestic and light.

What does llpp recommend?

there's nothing wrong with living in your hometown (well, unless it's near utica) but gro hates running into the people that are "thinking about going back to school" and they say that EVERY year. Listen, instead of puting new 18's on your '98 blazer... what have you done since HS??

MGD light sounds delicious, I'll have that.

p.s. there's some emails floating around with my HS friends that gro keeps in touch with, they are trying to guess the random people they are going to see tonight. There's money on the line here.

PBR...

reg being a pensylvania boy i would go w/ the rock...walking tall baby...

I should be all set for tonight and tomorrow, so long as everyone else brings their own beer or other BoC.

What is the appropriate way of telling people "please don't touch my beer?"

Reg, you have to mark your territory.  Id take out every bottle out and do what this guy is doing to each one.  Or, just bring in your beer to the party, make sure everyone sees it, and just start drinking everyone elses beer thats there.

JU will now proceed to drink a few, tell himself its going to be an early night, and end up staying up untill 3 in the morning talking to some girl that he hasnt seen in 7 years but is now single, returning to the area, and doesnt know if she is going to stay at her parents house tonight.  I will convince her that JU's apartment has an extra bedroom and see what happens from there.

Or....I will wake up in my friends garage tomorrow at 7am on a beanbag chair that was supposed to be thrown out in 1992.

Objection: Counselor is testifying!

Seriously, does my statement say anything involving Hobart's 10th game and the selection process? I like to see teams play 10 games because it's what's allowed by Division III rules and schools should not short student-athletes the competition and lasting memories in college athletics.
Pat, this is what DIII is all about. Add to your comments when schools pass on post-season invites, whether ECAC or NCAA.

Bring a 12pk of "old Style"  The Chi-townies love that stuff.  Should keep them away from your beer.

Hey Johnnies -

You have some Union fans who are friends, too :-)  I wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgivings, and I wish the class act of St. John's nothing but success in their hunt for a Stagg Bowl crown.
