Arcidiacono, a senior from East Greenbush, N.Y., earned Liberty League Offensive MVP honors in 2005 and 2006. He ended his career ranked in the Top 15 on the NCAA Division III career rushing chart. Arcidiacono is one of 48 NCAA Division III seniors from around the country who will make up this year's team.

Former Widener, Delaware Valley and LaSalle Head Coach Bill Manlove will coach this year's team.

Event Information: This year's game is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. CST on December 16 at Estadio Victoria in Aguascalientes.

The Aztec Bowl is the traditional season-ending game for Mexico's college football season. The game has been played 35 times since 1947 with the last eight contests featuring the United States-Mexico match-up. The United States is 8-1 in the series and defeated Mexico, 53-15, in the 2005 game in Toluca.

Chitwood Sports Media of Jefferson, Texas will again provide a live webcast of the Aztec Bowl in 2006. Along with the game webcast on December 16, announcer Charlie Chitwood will provide 90-minute preview shows on December 12, 13, 14 and 15 The preview shows will originate from the Team USA hotel and will begin each night at 6:30 p.m. CST.

The preview shows and game webcast can all be accessed via the AFCA's website at www.afca.com and via the Aztec Bowl website at www.aztecbowl.com. Postgame results will also be available at www.afca.com.

Aztec Bowl Alumni: Two former Team USA members, London Fletcher and Clint Kriewaldt, are currently playing in the National Football League. Fletcher, who played collegiately at John Carroll and was a member of the 1997 U.S. team, is a linebacker with the Buffalo Bills. Kriewaldt was the Detroit Lions' 1999 fifth-round draft pick out of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and played in the 1998 Aztec Bowl. He is currently a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The AFCA was founded in 1922 and currently has more than 10,000 members around the world ranging from the high school level to the professional ranks. According to its constitution, the AFCA was formed, in part, to "maintain the highest possible standards in football and in the coaching profession" and to "provide a forum for the discussion and study of all matters pertaining to football.

For the benefit of all of the SJF posters that now seem to call LLPP their home, the story on TA is as follows:

-  He caught a badly sprained ankle early in the 3rd qtr of Union's win at Hobart for the LL championship.  Up to that point in the game he had rushed for over 100 yards and was having a big game.

-  The following week vs RPI, TA was clearly less then 100% but still went over 100 yards with a TD while playing on a terrible field.  RPI played TA and Union very tough and clearly TA was banged up even more after the RPI game.

-  He suited up at SJF because he is a tough kid and a great competitor, but he was not even close to 100%.  Throw in the fact that Union had 3 other starters out for the SJF game and it was a very difficult task for Union to beat a very good SJF team on the road.

That is the way it goes with football.   Injuries are part of the game.  That is to take nothing away from SJF who took it to Union and then contained Springfield's potent offense a week later.
News Flash:

TA WAS HURT DURING THE FISHER GAME, AND EVEN THOUGH WE (ROSSI AND CO.) DONT WANT TO TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM  FISHER WE WILL ANYWAY BY POSTING EVERY 5 MIN THAT HE WAS HURT DURING THE GAME...OH AND THE STUPID GAME WAS AT FISHER BECAUSE FISHER WAS THE BETTER TEAM GOING IN SO IF TA WOULDA PLAYED AT HOME ON A GOOD ANKLE, AND HE WOULDA WORE A RED SHIRT SO THE FISHER D WOULD KNOW NOT TO TACKLE HIM TOO HARD THEN, AND ONLY THEN WOULD UNION HAVE WON....more news at 11.

TA if you read this...sorry no disrespect to the warrior that I am sure you are, just tired of hearing "Fisher pounded Union's ass fair and square, BUT...but....but.....

Mrs. Rossi, Mrs. Rossi, Mrs. Rossi -

Maybe you should undestand my last post!  The statement I made was that no matter what the offensive scheme SJF has faced over the past weeks, they have been able to make the necessary changes and WIN!  I understand that the Rowan game will not be a "walk in the park."  Yes they have the playoff experience, long tradition of success and overall a solid team.

Although, YOU should never overlook the games that gets a team to the playoffs.  That's why you play them right?

Don't downplay a team's success then say you are going to root for SJF because you don't necessary like their opposition this week!

Oh yea, about the "bitch-slap" you gonna be at the SJF game this weekend cause I sure would love to meet you and see if you can "bitch-slap" me!!  When does the number of postings determine whether or not you played?  The answer to your question is I did at SJF with the rest of the mid-90's crew!  I believe that you were in the team lockerroom wherever you went to school picking up jock straps and placing them over you head! Or.... did you film, pick up the blocking dummies, fill the water bottles, etc.....?

Hope to see ya this weekend!!!

Finish the "but" part, because actually, that's the part that's important here...

"...but what does it have to do with SJF's ability to beat Rowan."  My points are that it doesn't have much to do with it because Union was one-dimensional on offense that day.  Seriously, dude, you have problems the way you're approaching this.  Tags, care to defend him?

Then learn to represent your school with respect...not buffoonery.  Maybe I will come up to Pittsford this weekend.  We'll see.

They made the necessary changes after seeing Springfield once this season... and getting trounced by them. That doesn't seem to reflect on their ability to adapt to a Rowan team that they've never seen.

And seriously, enough with the "I was a player" bullsh*t. All that means is you took a few more shots to the head than the rest of us.

I'd respond if your most recent statements articulated an ARGUMENT of substance.  As far as I'm concerned, I think we've boiled this egg for long enough.  All of our points have been made re: SJF the last couple weeks and what it means for Saturday.  Unless you have something to add, let's move on to another topic.

I don't know Frank, the more you make him talk the more I can smite him.

Also, his rantings have the odd ability to make me agree with you.

Good point, Jose, but he's given me a headache already.  Glad you and I can agree (kinda) on something for once :-)

By the way, to answer your question from the E8 board, I'm a General Commercial Litigator after a couple years of doing Securities Litigation.  No P.I. work here either :-)

Good stuff, 2 attys 'arguing' over football instead of a pot of $$$

Senor RedTackle

OK...you've all been waiting. RedTackle is back from his sojurn to TX for the Thanksgiving holiday. Aside from the golf and good food, RT didn't touch a computer for work or personal reasons and glad he did....especially since he knew he'd have to hear Tags, et al get up in RT's grill about SJF beating Springfield.

Guess what? RT IS A BELIEVER.....congrats SJF. To reward you for your timely playoff run, the Guru has decided to send who other than RT to be your color commentator for the d3football.com webcast this Sat. RT would like to think it was a sly political move by Pat to generate more subplots and intrigue for the broadcast...alas, it's more logistics. RT will be visting the parents on Sat, hitting the casinos in NF on Sat nite, then doing the Bills game on Sat!!!
