Reg doesn't want to steer too far away from the wonderful bantering about all of the games that don't matter jack to Reg, however, Reg is addicted to the show "Beauty and the Geek" on MTV.

For those who haven't had the opportunty to catch it...please do.

To reward you for your timely playoff run, the Guru has decided to send who other than RT to be your color commentator for the d3football.com webcast this Sat. RT would like to think it was a sly political move by Pat to generate more subplots and intrigue for the broadcast...

Yeah....either what you said or you just annoyed him to death before he gave in.

For the benefit of all of the SJF posters that now seem to call LLPP their home, the story on TA is as follows:

-  He caught a badly sprained ankle early in the 3rd qtr of Union's win at Hobart for the LL championship.  Up to that point in the game he had rushed for over 100 yards and was having a big game.

-  The following week vs RPI, TA was clearly less then 100% but still went over 100 yards with a TD while playing on a terrible field.  RPI played TA and Union very tough and clearly TA was banged up even more after the RPI game.

-  He suited up at SJF because he is a tough kid and a great competitor, but he was not even close to 100%.  Throw in the fact that Union had 3 other starters out for the SJF game and it was a very difficult task for Union to beat a very good SJF team on the road.

That is the way it goes with football.   Injuries are part of the game.  That is to take nothing away from SJF who took it to Union and then contained Springfield's potent offense a week later.
News Flash:

TA WAS HURT DURING THE FISHER GAME, AND EVEN THOUGH WE (ROSSI AND CO.) DONT WANT TO TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM  FISHER WE WILL ANYWAY BY POSTING EVERY 5 MIN THAT HE WAS HURT DURING THE GAME...OH AND THE STUPID GAME WAS AT FISHER BECAUSE FISHER WAS THE BETTER TEAM GOING IN SO IF TA WOULDA PLAYED AT HOME ON A GOOD ANKLE, AND HE WOULDA WORE A RED SHIRT SO THE FISHER D WOULD KNOW NOT TO TACKLE HIM TOO HARD THEN, AND ONLY THEN WOULD UNION HAVE WON....more news at 11.

TA if you read this...sorry no disrespect to the warrior that I am sure you are, just tired of hearing "Fisher pounded Union's ass fair and square, BUT...but....but.....

Finish the "but" part, because actually, that's the part that's important here...

"...but what does it have to do with SJF's ability to beat Rowan."  My points are that it doesn't have much to do with it because Union was one-dimensional on offense that day.  Seriously, dude, you have problems the way you're approaching this.  Tags, care to defend him?

Not really - it's his battle. I do agree however that TA at 100% wouldn't have mattered much that game. You don't have much of a chance when you're being hit right after you take the handoff.

Rossi & Max -

Enough with the bashing.  In all honesty WE (SJF) would love to have you at our game this weekend!  Not only for you to personally witness the strength of this Fisher program but to also part of our fan base.

This game is going to be a "boarder war!"  Who could have predicted a NY/NJ matchup!  I know most were predicting a MASS/NJ matchup prior to last weekend!  This game is going to be one for the ages.  Two superb defenses and offenses that are going to have to try and figure the other out!

union89

Like them or hate them....you have to give Rowan tons of credit.  Even in a 'down' year, the Profs will be representing the East in a Regional Final.

That being said, U89 sets the line at SJF (-8).

'gro

gro was considering hanging up the keyboard for a little while since the conversation is dryer than kunta kinte's ankle... but RT and Reg come and save the LLPP.

Reg, B&TG is kinda old but good show none the less. Gro watched his share of that over the weekend too.

RT, good luck on the call in Rachacha. Gro will be listening for subtle references to LLPP. Oh and don't forget to mention how SJF has come a long way from the beating they took from RPI in the ECACs last year.

Mrs. Rossi, Mrs. Rossi, Mrs. Rossi -

Maybe you should undestand my last post!  The statement I made was that no matter what the offensive scheme SJF has faced over the past weeks, they have been able to make the necessary changes and WIN!

They made the necessary changes after seeing Springfield once this season... and getting trounced by them. That doesn't seem to reflect on their ability to adapt to a Rowan team that they've never seen.

And seriously, enough with the "I was a player" bullsh*t. All that means is you took a few more shots to the head than the rest of us.

Max,

The point I was making is that no matter the offensive scheme - SC - triple option, Union -run/pass attack or RU's - balanced offense - Fisher has the personnel to make the necessary changes week in and week out.  How much credit has Fisher received up to this point?

Did Fisher get beat by SC earlier this season - Yes, but TROUNCED, I don't think so, the score does not directly reflect the intensity of the entire game.  Fisher also had 3 key defensive starters missing from the first Springfield game - no excuses - did that make the difference or did they make some defensive corrections?  Only for the coaching staff to know!

The final comment to make is in regards to your quote of "I was a player bulls*%!"...  I made this statement because of a prior post by Frank R.  So take it easy on the "knocks on the head!" - Oh and yes I did!

Cardinals10

Union89,

With that line, I'll take Fisher!

Curious though, what was your line on the Fisher / Union game?
(you must have known that was coming!!)

That being said, U89 sets the line at SJF (-8).

Why is U89 doing this to RT? RT said he was a believer in SJF now....but holy cow, this is a lock with this line. RT will make his way to the casino on Fri night in Niagara Falls for the sports book to lay $100 on Rowan grabbing 8 against a scrappy, but overmatched, SJF team. RT may even tease this up to 14pts in 2 team action w/ St.John's....

...come on 'Gro, you're talking to RT, a guy who knows the hood he came from. Just like Stanley "MC Hammer" Burrell never forgot the Oakland A's, RT won't forget to give the shout out to the LL...and maybe even weave in the ECAC reference for good measure.

especially since he knew he'd have to hear Tags, et al get up in RT's grill about SJF beating Springfield.

Hey now, Tags was well behaved after the Springfield game RT!

RT -

C'mon now!  Fisher has been the underdog in 2 playoff games (on most postings) and you're going to make the change on that line?  Don't get too excited about the casino, NO SPORTSBOOK!!

While you're there may as well head north for a little fun!!

Cardinals10

Oh yeah and RT....

No mention of the ECAC game against RPI (Bad Karma) this week!!  There will be an abundance of Fisher alumni at the game and we know how to get into the press box on the DL!!!

U89 says Fisher is laying 8 against Rowan...too tough to pass up.  And not sure what casino you go to but Casino Niagara has a sportsbook....

Cardinals10

You're headed to the canadian side, the american side (in Niagara Falls) has a casino now - Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel!  Pretty nice - might want to check it out!  You're not going to get hockey smashed on the crappy exchange rates!!!
