last night, RT brought you Lindsay Lohan speaking the virtues of her attempt at swearing off alcohol (and if you didn't see the quotes in the article, go back a few pages)

...now, RT brings you another young role model commenting on the proper way to mix parenting and partying.

Tags,
None of use are real engineers.  Gro is a pseudo-engineer and LD11 and I are straight management and technology majors.

Gro can explain better what he graduated with, but it is basically a half of mgmt degree mixed with a little engineering crap sprinkeled on top.

And don't let Gro tell you how cool and important he is.  Rumor has it that has major went obsolete around 1989.

Gro's major was industrial & management engineering (IME), sometimes called imaginary engineering by the haters.  Reg, could you rewrite that post with the font called "jealousy"? The first 2 years of coursework is the same for all engineers. The last 2 of IME is all operations research, work design and analysis, quality control, and other mantastic stuff. Reg, you wouldn't have made it though 1st semester with your cornhole intact.

the "management" in IME is just a buzzword, no other school uses that for that degree. Kinda like management & technology should just be called management... with laptops.

If you'd like to read more about how gro's degree kicks a plain mgmt degree in the nutsack please read this

In my best "jealousy" font

Gro-
You know how Reg can tell that you really wanted to be a part of the cool M&T degree.....you are always making up this crap like IME is the best thing out there.  You know how manmy companies have a roll suited specifically for an IME major??? About 50....you know why our degree is called MGMT & Technology???....So when you apply to one of those 50 companies, an RPI M&T major who applies gets the job ahead of you because "He's management, but his degree is also technical....let's hire him"

Second, please don't confuse the term management in IME as anything actually related to mgmt.  That was actually a ploy, like the one above to get IME grads shots at jobs that actual M&T grads go for.  The plan completely flopped. (e.g. "Oh it says here that he is partially in mgmt...that's great"....."Oh wait, he is really an engineer...he sucks again!!!")

confused Mr. Reg,

I said that the mgmt in IME was just as pointless as the technology in M&T.  Your degree is about as technical as an 8 track player.  And yeah, there are only 50 companies that would hire an IME. Any company that makes a product or provides a service could hire one, so 50 sounds about right. The only brand of management that IME's don't touch is finance, and you can have that.

p.s. (in jelously font) you know why gro was jealous of the mgmt's (about 85% of the football team is mgmt) you guys NEVER had finals!! in the spring you were done before the end of april. that's BS!!

LOUD NOISES!!!

Ooooh.... JT thinks upstate just insulted gro.  Forget the 25K+ per year at RPI, coulda had the same for about 10K at ITT tech.

JT

Hmmm. Karma slowly dropping.  JT's hasn't posted in the E8 for a while.  Had a couple of innocuous posts the OAC.  Wonder where the leak is coming from?

'gro

gro hasn't smited anyone today... yet.  Seriously, ITT tech? They offer degrees like industrial technology and organizational mangement.  Gro could wipe his butt on his current degree and it would still be worth more than ITT.

Gro is about to pop a smite cap in someone's ass

JT

Ah the closet smiter is in here....

Geez gro, untwist your wires from your labtop and relax.

for RPI being such an old school and filthly stinking rich... they give out some lousy degrees. It looks like something I could do with printshop on an apple II computer. And after the gagillion dollars that you spend on school, you think they could throw in that frame they charge $100 at the bookstore in for free?

i have been smited... meet me in the quad at 3am.
