RT asks that the LL bow it's head and have a moment of silence for the passing of 2 great Americans this week

former President Gerald Ford...ballin!

and the Godfather of Soul

TGP has always been and will always be a fan of the Godfather of Soul (Rap, Disco, Funk, etc).

Back when TGP was at the Bart he played bass in a blues/funk band called "Rebluevinized".  We had some horn players and would often bust out with JB tunes later on in the evenings when the bar was well liquored up and ready to dance.

During the 2 yrs of that band's fabled run thru Geneva we performed JB classics such as "Lickin Stick", "Papa Don't Take No Mess", "Living in America", "Sex Machine", "Soul Power" as well as Maceo/JB tunes like "Pass the Peas" and "Shake Everything You Got".

Man, James Brown was a truly a music legend.

When the Jackson 5 auditioned for Barry Gordie of Motown, the first song they sang was "I Got The Feeling" by James Brown

Mick Jagger and Steven Tyler always gave credit to James Brown for how they dance and strut around on stage.

JU has officially started his season of drinking beers by himself at night while he "watches" college bowl games and college basketball games.

Tonight, JU is enjoying "watching" UCLA beat Fla St, as he enjoyed "watching" Central Michigan tear apart Middle Tennessee St last night.

Sometimes, JU gets stupid and forces himself to "watch" stupid games like the Northern Iowa/Bradley basketball game, or the UAB/S. Florida basketball game.  JU would love to see both teams win respectivly, but it will not matter in the end.

Boston College will beat navy by 2 touchdowns.  They will do it.

Sam Adams is also watching the game with JU tonight.  Sam Adams loves watching football and college basketball with JU.

"Hark!  Boston College shall defeat the midshipmen!"

LLPP TRIVIA QUESTION OF THE NIGHT.............
What former US President attended an LL college?

Bonus:  What former US President attended that same college for his graduate studies in nuclear science?

(should be easy for LLPP enthusiests)

(JUs spelling gets lazy at this point in the night during bowl season)

hmm....well, nuclear science has only neen around since WWII or shortly thereafter. By process of elimination, RT would throw out Eisenhower, Kennedy, LBJ, and Nixon. RT doesn't think it was Ford, Regan, or Clinton.....and RT knows that Jimmy Carter was an Annapolis guy who may have served on an early nuke ship later in his career so RT says Carter

RT is right again.  I respect you enough to know you didnt cheat on an internet question............

TGP is no history buff, but Michigan is an obvious answer (the late Pres Ford, Tom Brady).
