by the way, did anyone watch Dr. 90210 Thursday night?

There was a girl who had her FUPA liposuction.

FUPA = Fat upper Poonanny Area, aka the Paunch, the Mound, mons pubis

Yeah! Liposuctioned it because, as she said, she can't "target" the area during workouts.

This world is remarkable.

Rev,   Reg always knew you were the entrepreneur!!!!

While I think there are plenty of other opportunities in a myriad of areas, where better to start than your hometown....with the exception of Norwich......
Seriously, why go back there Rev?  You are always talking about the chicks in PHX...and you want to revert back to the armpit of CNY?  Do you know what lives there?

There's something about Norwich, Reg.  It's a special place.  The Rev's family has been entrepreneurs there since Great Grandfather Smith opened an insurance company there in the early 20th century.  Grandpa Smith worked at Bendix-Scintilla during the war and then opened a successful dry cleaning business.  Pete (Dear old Daddy) came back after getting his MBA at Wharton and has been running the stock brokerage firm ever since. The Rev is the Prodigal Son.  The Rev has to go home and make good.  It's like a tractor beam.  A calling.  A viral infection.

Rev's best friend just came back to build a law firm.  Another friend will soon return as a cardiologist.  Another friend is the small business loan officer at the local bank.  it's like its own universe.  (Sometimes good, sometimes bad.)  We see ourselves as the vanguard of the restoration and renaissance of the ingrown hair on the armpit of the universe we call Norwich.  It used to be such a nice town.  Now it's all run down and ****ty (to be frank).  We think we can help restore its fortunes.

Ugh~~ the Rev does know what lives there.  The female situation is truly frightening.  The Rev plans to either a) bring an AZ gal back, or b) go back to Korea for a spell and bring back a little baby-san.  The Rev likes black and tan.  Norwich girls are out.  Luckily The Rev somehow picks up Asian girls like mud on shoes.  now The Rev needs to seal the deal and start producing a small army of half-breeds.

no matter, The Rev is jumping the gun.  Right now he is working on getting a crew together to form a partnership, and next week he will start negotiating a buying price for the pub and building.  Will keep LLPP posted on the progress.

Norwich....home of former AU football brother players Andrew and Joe Genung. Also home of the Norwich (Evening) Sun....which comes out daily, unlike in Alfred where the Sun comes out once a week. Ironically, Jeff Genung is managing editor of the Norwich Sun, whose president/publisher is a Snyder. An unrelated Snyder (a graduate of Morrisville College that has a branch campus in Norwich) publishes Alfred's Sun.   ::)

Upstate NY towns that have fallen on hard times are certainly in need of natives to return who are willing to infuse new life into their communities. +K to the Rev. for willingness to make sacrifices to return and make a go of it!

Does this mean LD isn't happy?

TGP would occassionally take Exit 41 off the NYS thruway on my way up to Geneva.  Coming up on Seneca Lake from the east was always a much nicer sight than driving thru the north end of Geneva.

Anyway, if you take 41 you end up on 5&20 and head thru Waterloo, NY - the "birthplace of Memorial Day" and yet another Upstate town that otherwise, has nothing in it.

I think Giants head coach Tom Coughlin is from Waterloo.

AUPepBand remembers when RIT had a football program, he thinks the head coach's name was Coughlin. Is there any chance they are one and the same? AUPepBand will put his research skills to work to see if he can get the answer to that nagging question.

Indeed, Tom Coughlin at one time coached the former RIT football program!

Coughlin was the Giants wide receivers coach under Bill Parcells from 1988-90. Under his tutelage, receivers such as Mark Ingram, Lionel Manuel, Odessa Turner and Stephen Baker all improved and helped the Giants win their second Super Bowl.

Coughlin began his coaching career in 1969 as a graduate assistant at Syracuse, his alma mater. He was the head coach at the Rochester Institute of Technology from 1970-73, compiling a record of 16-15-2. Coughlin returned to Syracuse in 1974, first serving as quarterbacks and offensive backfield coach for three seasons before being promoted to offensive coordinator for four years. He directed an offense that led the Orangemen to victory in the 1979 Independence Bowl, their first postseason triumph in 13 years.

In 1981, Coughlin went to Boston College for the first time, as quarterbacks coach under Jack Bicknell. He helped the Eagles win their first bowl game and coached Doug Flutie, who would win the Heisman Trophy in 1984, one season after Coughlin's departure. In 1983, Boston College won the Lambert-Meadowlands Trophy as Eastern Champion, its first in 42 years.

Coughlin entered the NFL as the Philadelphia Eagles' wide receivers coach in 1984 and '85. He held the same position with the Green Bay Packers in 1986 and '87 before moving to the Giants for a three-year stint.

AUPepBand.....should go for his MLS....his research skills are incredible!

LD11 'rooted' for Maryland and a 'lower' amount of points last night.  Excellent outcome.  Other than Oregon State's win by only 1, LD11 has been rooting for the right teams this bowl season.

Saw 'We Are Marshall' last night.  Good flick.  Pretty sad.  But had some humor in it too.  Definite recommendation from me for any college football fan.  Cool clips at the end with Pennington, and Leftwich, and Moss.  Cool to see how the program evolved after such a tragedy.

Let's go BC!

have to say I loved We are Marshall...and most of the audience was crying at certain parts of the movie....but the BEST spy movie ever is the Good Shepard

RT was let down by the Good Shepherd. It's tough to sit for 3 hours so RT's expectations are very high. RT thought that it jumped around a little to much and made for confusion, at times, and didn't maximize the pace of the movie. It was a good movie but RT is not sure if he'd call it the best spy movie of all time. There's a black and white cold war movie w/ Sir Richard Burton (name escapes RT) that was pretty darned good. There's some other movies from the 70's and 80's that RT thought were good. Good Shepherd is a little overrated for RT.
