tgp...looks like  you can go check out bend it w/ beckham and posh as he just signed w/ the l.a. galaxy for 5 yrs/250 million.....ouch that buys posh a lot of new clothes

read that online - a fellow pumpkinhead works for aeg as legal counsel - tgp gave him some props this morning when tgp read about that signing.

will be interesting to see if socal gets fired up about becks.  he's past his prime and carson (where the la galaxy) plays their home games isn't exactly close to anywhere in la except the south bay.

RT was driving through Schenectechizzz today.....stopped into Patrick's barber shop because of all the talk on PP. RT got himself a nice high and tight from Dan......a little expensive. RT asked him to trim the goatee and it tacked an extra $8 onto the bill!!!

My NYC barber, who charged $20 in 2000 when I first started going to him, is now, as of January 1, 2007, up to $33 per cut.  65% in 7 years...I didn't realize the oil crunch hit the barber industry.

Garnet and U89 warned Dan that if a "big guy about 6'4" wearing a red RPI Dutchmen Shoes shirt drinking a beer" ever enters the barber shop, he should be charged DOUBLE.....RT is lucky Dan trimmed only the goat and didn't go to town with the straight egde on the adam's apple!!!

Anyone see that New York show?  U89 are you "mr. Boston" ?

U89 is not "Mr. Boston", but is also totally addicted to most reality TV....Bravo had a "Top Chef" Marathon on last night.....now that is must see TV.

Gro hasn't been to Pat's since it was located in the walk in closet next to its current location (might be a nail salon or something there now). Cats used to line up to get faded out in the late 90's.  Not sure who this dan fellow is but if he learned from Pat he's ok with gro.

Was PTB (pat the barber, as was his title in 19naughty5) there? Does he still have long hair?

Speaking of ghetto and reality TV......this Real World Denver cast could be the most obnoxious ever!!!  'See You Next Tuesday' Beth would feel right at home with these azzmonkeys!!!  The chick with the black hair is quicky becoming enemy number 1!!!

PBR...

u89 have to agree w/ you re: real world...pbr has actually started watching it again....there is going to be some gigantic throw down at some point on that show

Schenectady, my home. WTF is going on there? How long can a city claim to be going through "tough times"? It's been that way since 1973 (random year, don't qoute me on that). They have been working on this metroplex project for at least 10 years. On gro's last trip home, he drove down state street and from Nott Terrace to Erie blvd all the buildings are empty... ALL of them!!  Albany, Schenect, and Troy all have their bad areas, but at least Albany and Troy have some sort of downtown.  To put it plainly, schenectady is rediculas.

On a lighter note, during christmas vacation gro and friends were trying to name all the stores that used to be in mohawk mall.

Yes...PTB was there. He had a long pony tail. RT had no idea it was Pat ....Dan had a slicked up boy-band do and tat's all over his arms. RT was a little skeptical but since it had LLPP's endorsement, RT proceeded. It was actually nice inside...RT didn't know what to expect. RT thought it would be someplace run down in a ghetto. That part of Rt.146 wasn't too bad...

Mohawk Mall :-)  That was FR's hangout when he was a wee lad.  Where else could you find a Woolworth AND a Montgomery Ward's?  Later, add to it a Paper Cutter and a Service Merchandise...Bradlees...and the best, especially while FR was at Union...Media Play.  I got DMB's 1996 release during midnight madness there.  The memories.

Back to Sean Salisbury for a moment, you guys should check out how someone treated the whole cell phone incident in his Wikipedia entry.  It comes right before the paragraph about his father being diagnosed with Mesothelioma in November 2006.  The placement is akin to the hanging of a deposed Iraqi tyrant, if you ask me:

"He was suspended from the sports network for a week in October of 2006, allegedly for taking and circulating to ESPN female staffers, cell phone camera photos of his penis. This act went unnoticed for a while as the penis was to small to be noticed in a picture, but later a curious member of ESPN used some tools to enlarge the picture and received a very unpleasant surprise."

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_Salisbury#Broadcaster

Spelling error, theirs.

EDIT:  Ummmm, I just went back to read some earlier stuff about him before I closed that browser...Someone must not like SS, cuz there's some pretty libelous stuff on there.  Read it at your own risk.

gro you better find a mrs. for some puppy dawgs and ice cream quick the way this country is going in iraq and now bombing africa and our prez wanting to up the numbers of the military by 100K the draft may be reinstated.... :D

If Clinton had not slashed the military from 18 combat divisions (first Iraq war) to 11, we'd have plenty of troups, regardless of one's position on the current conflict.

Don't just blame Bubba, Nudie and the other Capital Hill Fun Boys were pushing to make all the cutbacks too.  This is why politicians need to actually listen to the Military people sometimes.

Is there any better feeling in the world than comming home after a long day at work, going out to your porch where a 30 pack of miller lights have been for a few days, taking two big sips and getting that buzz right off the bat?
