If Clinton had not slashed the military from 18 combat divisions (first Iraq war) to 11, we'd have plenty of troups, regardless of one's position on the current conflict.


The Private Military Contractors are in full force in Iraq and Africa.  A lot of combat arms military personnel are getting out and joining these groups for the money (10-20k a month) to the point that it is almost impossible to get a gig with them.  I work in Iraq for one of these companies.  I live out in the middle Anbar province with the Iraq "jundi" and it is like gang warfare the sunnis hate the shias and vice versa and the kurds hate both of them and if given the chance will shoot them on site.  I know that my job is safe because there will always be another cess pool or dictator to be overthrown while the UN stands by and does nothing.  I'd say that about 60% of the military personnel over here have it pretty good.  They stay on well protected bases that have taco bell, pizza hut,  burger king, cable tv and laundry sevice on them and they never have to leave the wire.

Anyone think that maybe it's not Peyton's fault? The colts are probably cursed since they left baltimore 20+ years ago.  Watch peyton continue to lose until he ends up on a team when he's 38 and pulls a trent dilfer.
