The Rev hopes they will be extra diligent about wiping the sweat off of the equipment.

YEEECH!!

Sir Spiedie

I know, I know, everyone loves to hate Manning, but give the devil his due.
1. First and foremost, he did not loose the game for Indianapolis.
2. He completed a lot of short passes both over the middle and in the flats under horrible conditions, which admittedly were there all night.
3. He did throw a td pass while in the process of being wrapped up.

Grossman on the other hand, well, you saw the game.

Gro has rethought the MVP vote and considers this... Manning runs a good portion of the offense from the line, and made good audibles when needed. So for that he gets a vote.   Still, all those short passes were going to addai, which he then turned from 3 yard gains into 8-10 yard gains with some good moves.  Rhodes did the same thing on his carries.  Mannings TD pass was against blown coverage.

Gro still votes for co-mvp Addai/Rhodes, but doesn't totally disagree with the manning choice.

Sir Spiedie

Did anyone notice that both O-lines held up pretty  well throughout the game? I wondered why, after they fell behind, that Chicago did not take more chances on defense by blitzing?

labart96

TGP may have been wrong about the Da Bearsss, but TGP was dead on with his Prince having a couple of hot chick back up singers/dancers in his band.

That was a lock!

Regulator

Who else besides Reg was singing purple rain during the halftime show, as loud as they could?

Predicting a play/blitz can put JT in the right position to get an awesome shot.

Amen, man.

The only thing that concerns JT is tipping plays.  He's seen himself on Rowan TV move right to where the ball is going (from 2005 video) before the snap.  He's altered his positioning slightly in 2006 so he's not tipping a specific play.  Seems like JT can smell the fade to the corner of the endzone, among other plays.

Sometimes you just have a feeling.... I was at the Metrodome in '02 when the side judge was yelling at all of us to move back off of the sideline.  Everyone moved, I stayed and ended up with great video on Blake Elliot laying out and ending up curled up at my feet when he stopped.

It should have been Addai and Rhodes...but I knew it was gonna be Peyton.  They had to, and I guess Im not too upset with the pick.

Time to talk about the commercials... they are all on youtube right here

Gro liked:

Bud light "slap" - who doesn't like a good slap fest?

the Letterman/Oprah promo - unexpected, funny, and quick.

snickers man kiss - for all the wrong reasons

GM robot suicide - gro's dork side likes quality, and robot suicide

beatyourrisk.com - not for the commercial... but saying "beat your risk" makes gro giggle like a 5th grader.

Gro no like:

Coke grand theft lovefest - WTF is this? dumb and ran on too long.

salesgenie.com - so if you have the money you can put your late night infomercial on during the superbowl?

doritos check out girl - can't wait for the unrated version to hit the streets

any chevy ad - You're trying to hard guys... "everyone loves chevy's!! black people, white people, Jay-Z, dale earnhart jr... now why don't people buy them??"

Touchdown Tommy

Does the Colts dyslexic monkey stomp mean that LD11 will be in hiding till March Madness?  His boy Peyton will be gloating and basking in the "afterglow" of the win for weeks....

GRO: Interesting story about the commercials here.  During the 2nd qtr you may remember a Bud Light commercial where a redheaded kid hands his friends some beers and attempts a fist bump.  They deny him and slap the kid.  Then the rest of the commercial is peopling slapping each other and it ends with the same redheaded kid slapping an old man.  Well that main actor (the red head in the suit at the end) was a classmate of Touchdown Tommy's at SJU and graduated with me in '04.  Needless to say i nearly shat myself when that commercial came on.  You can view the commercials at www.cbs.sportsline.com/superads

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

RPS was pretty funny.

Anyone notice that CBS did not show any shots of the manning clan during the game, where were they hiding?

realistic

Hmmm...liked the Blockbuster live mouse, the Bud Light slaps and the Bud Light rock/scissor/paper.  The Letterman/Oprah one is the only one that made me laugh out loud.

The snickers one and the Doritos check out girl were both disturbing.

Didn't get some of the Coke ones, especially the Grand Theft Auto one.

Salesgenie spent a lot of coin...I don't think it was worth it for them.

Guilty.

Did any LLPP'ers try to hit the high notes at the end like JT.  Wooooo oooow oooow oooow!!!  Woooo oooow oooow ooooow!!!

JT had a few cocktails by that point.
