Speidie,  Are you holding onto this car for any reason...or is this a daily driver?

So today, MR got the desk she ordered from office depot a couple week ago.  Anyone who has bought a desk from OD knows that they come in 428 parts.  MR has been going at this thing all day and has only requested the Reg a few times for stuff she couldnt handle.

It has been a very quiet Friday.....should Reg let MR buy a desk every Friday?
(if you kats remember, Regs desk is MR's enemy #1.

Please advise

Regulator-Daily driver, when I'm not driving my fine classic 1984 Chevrolet C-10 Pickup.

After she puts the desk together, Spiedie recommends a ping-pong table. Spiedie recently acknowledged total abject failure on his. Current plan is to put table top surfaces  on saw horses.

RE: Snow in Upstate NY

Do you guys have some decent size ski slopes/mountains where all this powder is falling?  I mean this sounds like Colorado or Salt Lake City...

TDT, one of the heartbreaking realities of the Central Leatherstocking region of NY is that we don't have much in the way of ski slopes.  We are at the top of the Alleghany Plataeu, and thus most of the hills are (relatively) gentle rolling hills.  The Rev grew up in the heart of centrla NY (although some might compare Norwich, with some justification, to a less appealing part of the anatomy), and most people The Rev knew went to Greek Peak near Cortland, Song Mountain in Tully, or all the way up to Whiteface Mountain (which is pretty far from The 'Wich).

Colgate University used to have its own ski slope right on Route 12.  The Rev skied there in high school because at the time Colgate chicks seemed like goddesses.

TDT - not really where the snow is falling so heavily.  The Tug Hill Plateau is big for x-country skiing but there aren't really any ski areas in that vicinity.

Yep.  X-country skiing was bigger in The Rev's neck of the woods.

but truth be known, folks in Chenango County are more interested in snowmobiling than skiing.

Snowmobiles go where an AMC Gremlin or El Camino can't!

Re: man meat (who wants some man meat??)
gro hates biting into fat on a steak. Gro likes his steak well done... therefore gro never gets the prime rib... yack!!

The Rev was eating dog soup in downtown Seoul one day in 2000 and made the mistake of eating the fat that was on his dog meat.  Dog tastes similar to venison.  Kind of gamey. But when the Rev tasted that fat, he almost barfed all over the place.  The fat tasted the same as when the Rev's beloved childhood mutt would lick his face.

The Rev almost cried thinking about his late old dog, but then puled the fat off and finished the meat.

Dog soup is TASTY!

The Rev's high school and college ride was a 1962 Mercedes 190 SEL.  It was The Rev's aunt's college ride.
The car was kind of a P. o' S.  Rev had new brakes put on it at the end of freshman year.  The garage in Geneva installed them backwards, and the Rev drove brakeless from Ovid to Norwich, and only nearly crashed it once at a stop light in Cortland.  Do you fellas know how the roads are from Ovid to Ithaca, to Cortland to Norwich?  In hindsight, The Rev wonders why he didn't just pull over and call a tow truck to take it back to Geneva.

The car died in a barn fire while The Rev was in Korea.  A burning timber fell and crushed it.  The Rev was bummed out enough, but to add insult to injury, the insurance company gave Rev's grandpa only about $6,000 for it.

Reg,

Change it up.  Let MR go to thenearest IKEA every Friday and buy one new piece of furnature.  This could keep her occupied for weeks.

The Rev heartily recommends you get her in the mood to construct desks, tables, etc., etc., during football season so you can enjoy the football life without womanish distractions.

I'd recommend that for Valentine's Day, you go to Home Depot and buy MR a new grill, and decline their offer for free assembly. Nothing like trying to follow step-by-step instructions written in English by someone who barely understands it.
