OK...so the D-III season is long over, the College Bowls are long gone, and now even the lame-azz Pro Bowl is done with.

What now?  The Rev is feeling the mid-late-winter blues.

Do you fellas know how the roads are from Ovid to Ithaca, to Cortland to Norwich?  In hindsight, The Rev wonders why he didn't just pull over and call a tow truck to take it back to Geneva.

Rev - Cortland to 'Wich is a fun route through McGraw, Solon, Cincinatus, etc. right?  Thats an interesting drive with some very interesting sights along the way.

I'm with PBR - March Madness baby.  Gotta love it.  Even though the 'cuse is playing like crap right now.  Nichols puts up a career high 37 and 11 and they barely beat St Johns at home.  Not looking good right now.

A great time to read a good D3 book. Pep just finished "The Sweet Season," by SI writer Austin Murphy....great book on the St. John's program and John Gagliardi.

Incidentally, for those interested:

Update on Alfred's Julio Fuentes, who suffered a critical neck injury in the Saxons' opener Sept. 9, 2006:

Word is that he's still in rehab at Shepherd's Center in Atlanta, GA but is now out of the hospital and in an "apartment" setting there at the clinic. At present, he is on track in his rehab and is projected to complete his stay at Shepherd on March 9. Coach Murray spoke with Julio's mother on Saturday, who reported he "wasn't there" (in his apartment) as he was "visiting some girls upstairs."  ;)

Here's a clip about Shepherd Center:

gro forgot march madness... still too much football on the brain (scouting combine is next week).

pep, gro will "read" that book only if it comes on CD and is read by Sean Connery.... just say it in your head "Schaint Jawns"

Touchdown Tommy

GRO: Please tell Touchdown Tommy that you aren't one of the RUBES who watch the 19 hours of coverage from the Combine on the NFL Network.  Are you kidding me?  Oh he only score 29 on the Wunderlich test, he can't play in the League...Oh he ran a 4.5 40 nothing more than a 5th rounder...Oh he threw up 22 times on the bench, not strong enough and the dreaded (NP, non-prospect) designation...

Hope REGULATOR has purchased Desk #2 for Mrs REG as a token of his appreciation on Wednesday....

Re combine: gro doesn't watch it live (ok maybe a little), but enjoys the results.  It's a physical job interview with upwards to millions on the line. It was reality TV before there was reality TV.

Regulator

TDT-
Reg didn't buy another desk for MR even though she suggested getting me a new desk 3 times this W/E.  Whats up with dat?

RE: V-day-  If Reg hears about ANYONE from the LLPP gets engaged on this day, Reg will come after them with a baseball bat.  You will be stripped of all posting rights and you must turn in your man card, car and you must buy a VW bug immediately.  Reg usually takes MR the night before V-day...the restaurants are usually busy, but not amature hour busy...they are busy with people like Reg who wouldn't want to be caught anywhere near the people on V-day smooching in the booth next to him.  Plus the food is wawy better since they arent so rushed.  Ruths Chris....get the filet ready!!!

JT nabbed the proflowers deal last week.  Two dz roses, free vase, and choc truffles for $39.99 plus ship.   Take out at home on Wednesday, and the real dinner at her favorite French place on Friday.   JT did not get engaged on a holiday or birthday.

That is some primo driving in the summer time.  The turns, the banks, the danger of hitting livestock crossing the road.  It's awesome.  The Rev has always wanted to check out The Hathaway house near Old Telephone Hill Road, but has never gotten around to it.  In all those little towns, the Rev has always wondered where those people work.  The Rev always prefered the drive between Cortland and Ithaca because it seemed more exotic...it wasn't Chenango County, which was a good start.

Again in hindsight, The Rev wonders why he took the long way to Geneva, instead of driving to SYR and then taking the thruway west.  Perhaps because The Rev is a combination of dipsh!t and sunday driver.

The Hathaway House is nice but it is now just set up as 2 reception halls for weddings and whatnot.

Those back roads are a lot of fun, I definately had some fun back in the day taking 366 from Cortland to Ithaca, much more interesting that 13 the whole way.

For this Valentine's Day, The Rev may just have to take the Girls Next Door DVD out, and pretend that he is schtupping Holly and Brigit until his hands cramp and arms go numb.

Actually, The Rev has some long-hidden mojo emerging.  Rev, 35 years old, has been seeing a 20 year old.  A "7", possibly "8" if she dresses right.  Mexican.  The Rev sometimes asks her not to speak English so he doesn't have to pay attention to what she says.  The Rev picked up on this because things with the Japanese-Jewish girl (21 y.o., an 8 or 9) just weren't progressing as hoped.

The Rev is of the opinion that if he were to plan "something special" for Valentine's Day, that would be sappy.
