RPI plans on hosting high school football playoffs in the new stadium (great recruiting tool there), but Gro thinks RPI will try to steal the Giants away from SUNY Albany.

Gro wonders where they will display the shoes?

JT: Maybe TDT is losing his mind, but french fries seem out of place at a joint serving escargot, steaks, seafood, etc...

RE: Comcast

Guys this company is a joke.  TDT despises them with a passion.  I had to wait 2 weeks just to get these grease balls out to install their service.  So Jan. 20th (yes a Saturday WTF) they come out and install wireless internet and are supposed to install/setup a HD/DVR box.

What did they charge you for that??  All that has to be done is plug in the cable modem, then power up the router and then connect the 2.  Unless they encrpted it for you as well??  But I wouldn't let them touch my machine, they'd most likely screw it up somehow

Oh & by the way..Comcast has raised their rates in my area..  Like they really need more money.

Enginegro: When is this new stadium supposed to debut?  Are there drawings/pics of it available?  When is the KINGER gonna call up old Gags and schedule the home and home series?...Oh and TDT would prefer a few URINALS/TROUGHS (sp??) in the few facilities if at all possible

Chien Ming Wang hasn't been too bad for the Evil Empire...

REGULATOR: what is the correct answer?

FYI: TDT saw Lewwwwwwwwwwwwdoggie lurking earlier this morning.

EDIT: Ok I found the $$ figures.  TDT will take the Batting Cages for 50K.....WTF
Chasing MILFs since '82...

For a cool $10 million you can name the new RPI football stadium If that's not in your price range, the field can be named after you for just $1 million.

Everything has a price... LLPP might have to pitch in and see if we can't get a toilet or sink with the LLPP name on it.

If the Rev had $10 mil., he'd have RPI call it the Rt. Rev. J.H. Hobart Stadium.  Not only would it make all of RPI sting, but it would be a little slap at Hobart itself, for The Rev woudl say in a press conference: "It's too bad The Rev had to go to RPI for some respect.  Because Bishop Hobart gets no respect from his own namesake school."  BLAM!

But seriously....

Usually they will sell bricks that you can customize.  The Rev thinks it would be a great idea if LLPP, inc. members bought an LLPP brick.  Or we can sponsor a plastic mobile restroom, in which case LLPP will then stand for "Liberty League Porta-Potty."

Yeah. Just three zeroes short. :)

You should look into the accounting methods used by airlines and mutual funds.
They can figure out how to add three zeros ex nihilo.

Oooooh...soeone took offense to the idea of naming RPI's staidum after Hobart?

Or was it against the idea of a Liberty League Porta Potty?

The Rev would buy a LLPP brick for RPI.  It's not even my school, but The Rev is good-natured like that.

The second reason is that you need a place to wash the (present/future) little ones.

How bout a swimming pool which are so very prevalent here in South Florida?  Just the thought of little ones is a bit frightening to TDT as I am sure my old roommate Kilted Rat would attest to.

JT felt the same way for long time, but there comes a time when a man needs to make little linebackers.

The pool is a given.

That seems a little harsh.  I bet we could rally the Ithaca Alumni Association to cough up $10 Mil.  We wouldn't want the naming rights though, we would want the money to go towards a roof to prevent further weather incidents.

Here's a willing Union Grad....now you're only $9,999,999 short.

Reg is working on a proposal right now with the naming of the public saftey suite...Included in said proposal is a clause that will guarantee Reg 5% of all paid parking tickets.
Reg figures at 50 tickets a day at $50 each, that said investment will pay off in 13 months.   The best part is that noone will be the wiser.

Question for RPI guys...after RPI is having a fund raiser for this purpose already.....what are they going to do with the $13+mm that they make from naming the stuff?!?!?  Reg thinks that RPI has gone from greedy at $1billion dollar goal to extremely nauseating at $1.3b and now they are going to charge for a name as well.  You have got to be kidding me.

Has the name "No more giant grass mounds" Field been taken?

What about "Huge Crown"?

or

"86ing the 86"?

I think that "crying about the old field" would work.   What do you think TGP?

'gro

yeah I counted $15MM in naming rights (that's for the stadium alone, the hockey rink and basketball arena have their prices as well)... overkill. Don't think every little thing will get a sponsor but damn... they are trying a little too hard for already raising over a billion (pinky up).

$200,000 is almost worth it to name the public safety suite "Mario the doucebag parking guy memorial public safety station"  Reg, receiving 5% of parking ticket revenue is brilliant.

Couldn't they have some kind of incentive plan with their ticket money?... like anyone who had a parking permit and no tickets received a partial rebate (not that gro would have ever qualified).
