Does anyone else cringe watching ali G?  Man i love it.

Ali G is one of The Rev's favorite shows.  The Rev is also a fan of the movie, Ali G Indahouse.

The Rev's favorite lines from Ali G's movie:

Pimp: These girls belong to me!
Ali G: Belong?!?  That is a very sexist way to be talking about these bitches.

and...

Ali G: Jezzy, iz you wearing green? I knew it - you iz defected to the Iver 'Eath posse, innit? Come on - let's stab him!
Jezzy F: No, no - wait! Me mum, yeah, she put me yellow top in the wash with me brother's blue football socks even though they ain't colourfast.
Ali G: All right. But you tell that slag, that in the ghetto, washing non-colourfast synthetics at 60 degrees could cost you your life...

or...

[at the Staines Women's Alliance meeting]
Ali G:  Yo! Me knows what you lezzies want.  Me is a big supporter of your cause.  After all, me 'as got many, many of your videos.
[seeing them get angry]
Why is you gettin' all eggy on me.  Is you on?

As far as the Ali G Show form HBO goes, it is a classic.  I love the episodes with Bhutros Bhutros Gali, Buzz Aldren and Pat Buchanan were awesome.  PB handled Ali very well.  Newt Gingrich did not and apparently sent letters to other republicans warning them about taking interviews with the production company that provided the front for Ali G.

Some of these Borat scenes from Ali G Show are great, too.  The one where he looks for a hobbay and goes to the Yoga, martial arts, and dance studios are outrageous.

Yea Borat was like nothing Ive ever seen.  That movie I would say is a LLPP must see.

But last night ali g had a group of like 4 american political reporters or whatever and started asking them if the voting age should be 18 or not.  Then he went on to ask if animals should vote and why 18 should be the age.  "If theres muff in the ruff, play ball right.....?"

Hey Reg, do you still have that jetski you had posted earlier?  Ill give you $7,000 for it......

Sorry, never mind.

I actually had a friend that just bought 2 snowmobiles and 2 jetskis for his new summer/winter house up in maine.  And thats after he just sold 4 of the same on the internet and was able to upgrade. Think he paid like 20K for all 4. (used of course) after selling 4 for 30K

What's the over/under on jet ski usage in Maine?   Two  weeks?

Although I havent been up there this winter, things usually though out in April and May would be when they would probalby first be able to be used.

In my recent travels to Hollywood, I saw Borat...and a star on the walk of fame that I thought some of you pumpkin heads might like.  I'm always keeping an eyeout for LLPP, even in my brief retirement stint...

It has to be at least the middle of June.....and that is with the use of a wet suit!
It would be hard to justify something like that for a 3 month season.
Snowmobiling is the one thing Reg misses most about upstate NY.

Pep returned to Home Sweet Home at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday night after a fabulously fun and constructive trip to DeLand of The Hatters. Some of the 30 students actually "won" Stetson t-shirts at the work site. (The West Volusia affiliate of Habitat solicits donations of hats and tees to give to our students).

While time does not permit at present a full report, there will be one forthcoming. Suffice it to say, a great assemblage of fine young people built a house from concrete slab up as far as they could go....it's now ready for the plumbers and electricians and drywallers to do their thing. When we departed at noon Friday, the house had vinyl siding, doors, windows, soffits, roof all completed; in addition, interior walls were built, blocking for drywall installed, cross-bracing and blocking completed and bathrooms insulated.

Have some interesting stories to share....to come later.

If LLPP ever planned a winter trip we would need something like this for transportion........

PBR - I have been watchin and have been impressed...esp since they already entered old NYPD Blue territory and had an episode not make it past censors.  it's available online...and realistic was surprised to see that he is friends with a new character - Joanie.

Anyway - also +K to reg for the 20's off the forehead line...and +K to all for the week in homage to Guinness and car bombs on saturday.  4 days...

BOL.....does he need to re up.....

Reg is completely sick of cable and the associated costs right now.  I pay $125 for high speed internet, HD, DVR, and all the pay stations besides StarZ.  They keep raising my rate which I got like 3 years ago for like $95 bucks!

What is everyone else paying?  Is Reg over reacting?

JU has Comcast with the following.

$49.40-Standard Cable

$14.00- 3 total boxes in house (so basically $7 each for the 2 extra boxes)

$37.20- Digital Gold (all the HBOS, all the cinemaxes, all the encores, HD, digital plus or whatever and music and crap)

$8.24- taxes and fees

$4.24- 3 remotes! (that one is crap if you ask me)

----------------------------------

Thats a $113.08 total a month but I used to have direct TV and when you switch over from that you get a $25 credit for 16 months which is still in effect so I am now paying $88.08 a month for just cable.

DirecTV

All Cable with HBO - DVR package, and HD package - $88.55.

And if anyone is interested in DirecTV, let LD11 know, as we can BOTH receive $50 and you'll get a free gift, like a portable DVD player.

You are not over reacting. Gro is around $90-100/mo for digital cable, HD/DVR, and internet... no premium channels.   Its redicuals. Internet is $40/mo!!  And you think that since we all pay so much they could make a cable service that doesn't freeze up every 2 hours -- making you mash buttons on your remote (college degree is null at that moment) until the screen flashes the menu 400 times in a row once it unfreezes... there needs to be cable competition (not just from sat TV).

what happened? I blacked out.
