+k for the skidmarks pic.  hi-larious!

One of this mornings Top News links on Yahoo! was:

'CHips' Erik Estrada gets star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Are you f'ing kidding me?  Are there not enough headlines in the news to have something a little more relevant?  Erik Estrada?   Walk of Fame?  What?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070420/ap_en_tv/people_estrada

I don't know, maybe tomorrow, Vern Troyer will pee his pants and get a headline.

'gro

They should break up the walk of fame into your level of fame (fameness? famousness? fameocity?). Erik Estrada doesn't need to be on the same block as Tom Hanks.

But there needs to be a block for the obscure hall of fame. Like the guy that played Buddy the brother on 'just one of the guys'. I just saw him in a comercial yesterday. Where's his star?

JT

Since NBC's showing of that wacko's manifesto NJ's had two different town school closings due bomb threats and Columbine references.

Do you think Erik's commercials selling worthless land per put him over the top?

GREAT REFERENCE!  Of course his star shouldn't be his real name, it should be 'Buddy, from 'Just One of the Guys'.  Also on this list:

'Stiles from Teen Wolf'
'The guy who played the crazy scientist in UHF'
'Bobo and Lil'Debil from Nothing But Trouble'
'All of the Ewoks'
'Flash Gordon and the Prince Vultan'
'Freddie Fernandez - Apartment 17 - Karate Kid I'
'Sato - Karate Kid II'
'Mike Barnes AND Terry Silva - Karate Kid III'
'Grig and Centauri from The Last Starfighter'
'Atrayu and the Nothing from Neverending Story'

'gro

that's a fine list there LD. If there was ever a 80's movie that deserved a remake, it's the last starfighter. Gro adds:

'Doug Masters and Col. Charles "Chappy" Sinclair from Iron Eagle'
'Cameron, Sloan, and Principle Ed Roony from Ferris Bueller's Day Off'
'Buddy Revel from 3 'O Clock High'
'Jason Mellon (son of Thorton Mellon) in Back to School'

I just don't know Iron Eagle and 3'oclock high unfortunately...Sir King of obscure movies.

3 o clock high is pretty obscure... but iron eagle?  IRON EAGLE!! blashpemy... The air force probably saw enlistments double in 1986 after Top Gun and Iron Eagle came out.

I suggest you sign up for netflix and review both films.

And for the really obscure 80's movie fan: Flight of the Navigator.

PBR...

gro top gun == navy (not air force....)

flight of the navigator was that the one with danny glover?

Gro, I am also suprised that LD has not heard of either of those movies.  And even Flight of the Navigator was a classic.  How about "The Last Starfighter", or "Enemy Mine".......

Of course, Iron Eagle star Jason Gedrick also starred in the obscure "The Heavenly Kid"

But 3O'Clock Highs Buddy Revel is one of the great characters of 1980 cinema......

lewdogg11

Come on man.  Everyone knows Jeff Spicolli was the best 80's character of all time.

lewdogg11

Also having his own walk of fame star should be 'Drop Dead Fred'.

PBR...

how 'bout right said fred...i'm too sexy baby...
