Passing the time watching the Sox take 2 of 3 from the Yanks AND the Pats getting Randy Moss made my exile easier to deal with!!

Good job by the Sox, but if you think Randy will be a bright spot for the Pats, I fear you're in for a giant letdown. Remember, he only plays when he wants to play, which he has proven is far from full-time. If Belichick can get him to perform consistently, he gets my vote as coach of the century.

As a registered and card holding patriots hater, this addition can only do good things for that team. If randy wants to play, he becomes their #1 deep threat and stretches the field for Brady. If he doesn't feel like playing, they have stallworth, welker (lead miami in recs last year, he's a good #2 receiver), and last year's 1st round pick who I can't think of now.

Of course the pats want to get their moneys worth for moss, but I see him either being an impact player or key contributor and not causing any locker room problems.  The ball is in his court. He doesn't even need to put up good stats, if he plays hard and they win the superbowl he goes into the hall of fame.

The guy is a douche.  He is in Pat's Hall of Fame if that tells the LLPP, Inc. anything (while most of the BEST posters are not, examples on request).  Completely random statistical bs and we are always supposed to take it as gospel.

<Ducks as he waits to have things thrown at him>

As opposed to completely random BS that is off topic and borderline offensive?

Awwwww, did someone in here offend you?  You poor baby!  I got a spoonful of something for ya...

mmmmmm....Not really, but just pointing out that you shouldn't bash someone for bringing a fact or 2 to the table.

Sorry to ruffle the LL feathers!

Dood, did you even read his posts about 'blazing speed'?  Not sure where his 'facts' were in stating that no one did or ever will have blazing speed in the NESCAC conf.  The statements he made deserved the 'bashing' received.

pg, everyone is welcome here....you just need to be funny or make some damn sense....you my friend are doing neither.

Here was my proroblem....Pat you hammered me for using the term 'bash'....as you can see above, pg04 used it first and I was quoting him....

Yesterday, I tried to defend myself on a couple of occasions, but my posts kept bouncing back at me....Pat smites me 4 points within a 5 hour period, then my posts aren't accepted....not sure how else to take that one!!

Man, you just refuse to get it.

You said the bashing was deserved. How hard is that to understand?

As for posts bouncing back at you? No idea, man. If you had been banned you wouldn't have even been able to log in and read the board. You'd have been locked out from the entirety of it.

Sounds like either a made up story or operator error to me.

Still confused because I was using his term....he could have used any term...I was quoting him....

Pat, can we please move on....I'll offer up the olive branch...
Sorry to hear that you got fired from your position in CT.....I'm sure you will find something closer to your family which better suits your skill sets....That situation must be difficult....Good Luck!!

'gro

Pat - he actualy said the "bashing" was deserved, quoting pg04, and by bashing he meant the responses on the NESCAC page alone (which went from justafied to humorous, none of which were really insulting to Frank U).   And if you don't belive that what frank stated didn't deserve some questioning, well then you've had one to many sips of the uible kool aid.

you seem to just want to have the last word on everything, so feel free to drop one after this and make sure to nest about 15 other quotes in it (gro's pet peeve, don't ask why).  And if gro is ever in the market for someone to split hairs, I'll come calling.

EDIT

seriously, we've gone from the definition of blazing... to the definition of bashing.  I have a headache.

On the blog, Pat wrote that he has a gig with Verizon back in VA. I think he left, I don't think he was fired.

Whatever you like, if it makes you happy. But your best friend 89 was the one who nested all the quotes in an attempt to back his point.

89 -- you supported the treatment that TDT gave Frank Uible. That's how I read it. The word used is not important -- it's the latent support of it.

I don't know why you can't get that I'm perturbed by that. I don't care one whit what word pg04 used -- the treatment of Frank Uible was what you were supporting.

I would think that if someone comes from the fringe or outside your board and calls someone a douche, that the level-headed people on this board would react against that. But it didn't happen. Even JU, who I think is normally pretty spot-on, said that only "maybe" stepped over the line.

Though JU, as a Vikings fan and multiyear Randy Moss fantasy owner, I wish your team the best of luck.

And no, I left voluntarily. NBCSports.com wanted to keep me but the geography just wasn't going to work out, not with the uncertainty of the project.

I really thought the board would have a bigger reaction to the statement that basically nobody here will ever be in the Hall of Fame. :)

Pat as I said earlier, I don't think anyone in here cares about your HOF....but I could be wrong.

Pat Coleman

That's fine. I figured since you folks have such solidarity with the MIAC people and three people on that board have brought it up (one has it in his profile!) there might be some interest.

While you're working on your reading comprehension regarding my job status I'll be crying my eyes out. :)

I give up trying to be nice to you......I find you disparaging by reading comprehension more disgusting than the 'bashing' of Frank.....you should ban yourself.

u89 knows my position on n-n-n-n-nested quotes, they're just confoosing.

I'm not sure if anyone here has those kinds of lofty aspirations.

All these Randy Moss haters out there.  Like I said, Randy HAS to produce and be a good citizen or his career is over.  Let's see...

He was in Minnesota who made a name for Lake Minnetonka.

He went to the Raiders who have guys dressed as Darth Vader with spiky shoulder pads.

Now he's going to a program who has won 3 of the last 6 Super Bowls, has the best coach of our generation, and wealth of locker room leaders.  Like I said, he'll play, or they will show himn the door.  Ultimately, is his potential worth a fourth round pick?  Absolutely!  Brady has NEVER had a guy of that stature to throw to.

And Gro, you are thinking of Chad Jackson, who has blazing speed.

I haven't done the math, so don't quote me here, but I believe the Pats got rid of Deion Branch for the Seahawks first round pick this year.  The Pats traded a First round pick to the 49ers for a 4th round pick and SF's first round pick next year.  Then they traded a 4th round pick for Randy Moss....So...ultimately, in theory, they traded Deion Branch  for Randy Moss and SF's 1st round pick next year.

I think it's genius.

Pat Coleman

I am sorry -- I didn't realize that telling me I was fired was your attempt to play nice.  :-\

I dont think U89 supported Frank being called a douche.  But he thought that Frank did deserve some "bashing" (pgs word) for what was said.  U89 used that word and even put it in partenthesis to let it be known that it wasnt his word.  Again, Frank most certainly deserved to be "questioned" in regards to his patronizing, know it all tone that was expressed in his last post.

And TDT comes up with crazy stuff and sometimes its just better to ignore him rather than scold him for calling someone a douche.  But for a man like Frank who certainly deserves more respect than to be simply called a douche is certainly out of bounds and over the line.

And when I said "maybe" I meant it more as the "maybe" more people out there that had crossed the line.  Not that he "maybe" crossed the line.  I should have made it more clear as it does read that way however.

LD, I think that was more Prince and a naked Apolonia.  :D

Hey, I loved Moss when he was here. The fans here still do.

But.....he has gotten a little brittle and watch how tenderly he goes over the middle.

That's not why they got him I know. But he gets hurt easily these days.

I was sitting at Lambeau Field when he pooped out the football at the Packer fans. Classic. I hope he does well.

I'd also like to point out that we're having a serious conversation about the word 'douche'.  stew on that one this afternoon.

In other news, former Notre Dame star Rahib Ismail -- under pressure from angry scientists at NASA -- admits that he is, in fact, not a rocket.
