Someone sent JT a link to this song.  It is soooo bad, but now JT can't get the crap melody or lyrics out of his head.  He dares the LLPP to give it a few minutes, then try to get the song of your head.  SFW

Rolevio heard this on the way into work today while listening to O&A who decided to play it twice just to screw with their audience.  Rolevio was lucky and it left his head soon after entering work.  Though Rolevio was singing along by the time the song hit halfway through the first play.

Quote from: Union89 on July 18, 2007, 03:18:46 PMJose, have you read the indictment??  Seems to look pretty strong vs. Ron Mexico to this novice....what are your thoughts??

Just scanned the indictment on The Smoking Gun (which is operated by an IC alum).  Looks to me like the US Attorney got two witnesses to testify to the allegations in the indictment.

They are certainly serious allegations and, I have no doubt that most, if not all, of them are true.

But, it is hard to tell how bad it looks for Vick.

1) The parts of the indictment I read does not refer to a lot of hard evidence outside of the witnesses' testimony.  They have done two searches, I would hope they found something.

2) The witnesses that testified before the Grand Jury were only questioned by the US Attorney.  That means they were not cross examined by Vick's counsel (who is not allowed in a secret Grand Jury meeting) or impeached by Vick's counsel.  Also, I can't remember for sure, but I am pretty sure Grand Juries can rely on information that would be inadmissible under the Federal Rules of Evidence.  That means a lot of the witnesses' testimony could be inadmissible (hearsay, opinion, etc) at trial.

The other side of the coin is, given the high profile nature of the charges and one of the principal defendants, I am guessing the US Attorney is not going to just put this out there unless they have something they feel is pretty good.  These guys aren't that schmo in Durham, NC.

Basically though, I think we know as much now as we did yesterday, with the exception that we now know there are at least two witnesses willing to cooperate with the prosecution.

A few posts over on the NESCAC board made me think of something.....Gro (Schenectady) and I (Worcester) have poked fun at our respective hometowns.  I know LD is from the Lowell area but curious about everyone else.

Homework assignment...what is everyone's hometown....high school optional...Utah seems like kind of a Fall River/New Bedford dude.

A guy Garnet and I graduated with was from Painted Post, NY.....he fit the bill for that 1 (who was it, Garnet??  Belvedere can't bail you out, he wasn't a DU).  I have a feeling our PumpkinHead friends could be from some interesting places.... ;)

No fun can be poked at Garnet.....he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth....

TGP was born outside Boston, but was raised 12 miles NW of Hartford, CT in a town called Avon.  TGP graduated from Avon (PUBLIC!!!!!) High School.  No AOF for this pumpkin (even though TGP will admit that AOF will typically ship about 5-7 kids a year to Hobart).

Kind of a miracle a school as small as AHS even had football.  Less than 500 students total when TGP went there.  Played in the NCCC (as in North Central Connecticut Conference) and were Class S (CT had 6 divisions back then based on enrollment S, SS, M, MM, L, LL.  Pretty obvious where AHS fell in that ranking).  Only 3 other NCCC members had teams (and all were pretty terrible since those towns were even smaller than Avon).

The result of this was AHS had to play other schools from larger divisions that were around the greater Hartford area.

Opponents ranged from such aptly named CT towns such as Meriden, Berlin, St. Paul (Bristol) Catholic, Northwest Catholic (West Hartford), Guilford, Plainville, Simsbury and Farmington.

Our school mascot was the Falcons (but there were no dog rings in Avon back then).

KS was born in Hackensack NJ and moved to Mansfield Twp NJ in Warren county at the age of 1.  KS attended Warren Hills Jr and Sr high in Washington NJ.  The current head coach of the University of Minnesota also went to this HS before transferring to Phillipsburg High and was a year older than KS.  The MAC boards own Bob Zadie also went to this school and was captain of KS football team KS sophmore year.  KS played baseball from the age of 6 or 7 until 17 and again when he was 21 and 22 while in the Navy.  KS played football his soph and Jr years in hs but screwed up a knee and ankle.  KS enlisted in the Navy during the beginning of his Sr year and decided not to play football as the Navy docs said if KS screwed up his knee anymore he would be physically disqualified.  KS played another year of football while in the Navy, but it wasn't even a full season before KS went to sea for three months.  KS went to college at NJCU then JCSC at the age of thirty after getting out of the Navy and getting laid off from the tool and die shop KS was working in.
