As previously stated, I don't understand nor enjoy pro basketball, but....

The proposed Celts trade with the T'wolves looks interesting....Garnet for Jefferson, Rando and Ratliff.  Jefferson seems to have some huge upside, but this could at least make the Celts relavent again, even if only for a few years.

Pierce, Ray Allen and Garnet seem like a very solid (but aging) core.

Reports here are Jefferson and Ratliff, plus Green and Telfair. You keep Rando. Plus MN gets a 1st round pick. I don't care much, but it's an interesting trade.

Boston's roster is going to look nothing like the '06-'07 roster, besides Paul of course.

My take on if the Celtics get Garnett

Garnett is good... and he's not over the hill, has plenty of bball left in him. But adding him to the celtics is like eating a fresh terd bedazzled with 1000 tic tacs.  Sure it tastes better than before, but it's still a piece of sh-t.

I think you're crazy.  The NBA is NOT the NFL.  You CAN buy your way to the conference finals.  You can't buy a championship necessarily, but you can buy your way to the conference finals without too many issues, atleast in the east.  Pierce and Antoine were enough to get the Celts to the East Finals a couple years ago.  This team will be MUCH better.  Two top of the line players(Garnet, Pierce) put together with a scoring machine(Allen).  I think the Celtics will be a force int he East next year, if they all stay healthy.

at least we agree on one thing.

Must be a skeptic when you're a knicks fan, buying talent not always the best option. Psyched for Curry and Randolph to be throwin' bow's in the low post.  If they add one more big man they can shoot a remake of 'Disorderlies'.

Curry needs to stob getting robbed at gunpoint first.

Think there'll be enough touches for Garnett, Pierce, and Allen, or is it going to end up like the Knicks with Steph, Francis, and Crawford?

+k.  Is that an NBA right of passage these days?

maninyellowhat

I guess so.  Just ask Antoine Walker.

MIOH has the same thoughts here yellow... PP doesnt have a great reputation in the C's locker room... or at least he didn't when MIOH worked there... MIOH will be curious to see how he reacts to being the 2nd... or 3rd option.

However, the formula for throwing a bunch of old stars together in the crummy eastern conference and crossing your fingers is a proven one (ala Miami w/ Antoine, GP, & The Daddy & Co.)

With my first summer vacation of not having a whole lot to do, I'm trying to get into some new shows.  I've had HBO for a little while now, and love Entourage, and tried John From Cincinnati (although I wasn't too impressed).  I've heard good things about Flight of the Conchords.  Any thoughts?  Or any other suggestions from other networks?
