That one sociology class gro took at RPI is paying off, thanks Professor Restivo!

KS thinks this study needs to be published, it's science.

PBR, you missed a big one especially down south, unless they don't make it anymore.  Red White and Blue.  The can looks just the same but instead of Pabst is says Red White and Blue.

KS band played a bar in Old Tappan a couple of times that had 2.00 pints of PBR draft.  MKS drove home those nights.

KS ...pbr remembers the dreaded RWB trying to cash in on PBR and its popularity...

Knightstalker

If you close at that label is says Pabst at the bottom.  That is a very old bottle pic.  KS was just going to post it, beat me to it.  KS remembers RWB with the blue ribbon label down south 20 some years ago.  KS hasn't been south in a long time.  Gro or LD research needed on RWB in the south.

Love the Sox move for Gagne.....I have a cool 'G' on the Sox over 90 wins for the season.

Willy Mo has been on fire his last few starts prior to the trade deadline....if we can't move him now, we never will.....why would a team like the Pirates not take a flier on him for a few A or AA arms??

Lastly, why is it, whenever you type in the number eight here on D3football.com it appears as a smiley face with sunglasses??

Anyone else see the Johnnies starting running back is accused of having sex with a 14 year old girl?

What the heck are you bumpkin's thinking about in MN, TDT??  Makes dog murdering, herpes transmitting and flashing the bird to the Atlanta fans not look that bad.....maybe Ron Mexico has a future with the Vikings......

HEALTH QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION

Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true?

A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... Don't waste them on exercise . Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the lifeof your carby driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?

A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables . So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?

A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit.Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?

A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?

A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?

A: You're not listening.... Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. I n fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?

A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?

A: Are you crazy? HELLO Cocoa beans! Another vegetable.  It's the best feel-good food around!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?

A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?

A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape! !

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.

And remember:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - JD and coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"

Yea it is bad U89.  He has already withdrawn from SJU and now has an uphill legal battle.  Technically he wasn't the Johnnies "starting" RB.  We run a platoon system utilizing 2-3 guys minimum.  Very sad, appears to be an open and shut case with his own admission to the authorities, etc. (according to the Sctimes.com)  21 to 14 is unreal.  I mean if she was 16 maybe, but 14? Are you serious?  She'd have to be mighty mature looking to confuse her for 18.  This is all presuming the kid had no knowledge of her age.  Lots of uncertainty and information that may never be known for sure.  Certainly not the kinda ish you want happening as training camp rolls around...

TGP drank his dinner (rough times in the mortgage biz, what can TGP say), so take this with a grain of salt

BUT

and there is a big BUTT (.) here.....

tonight was a perfect reason why Sox fans should be concerned that instead of a bat we picked up another arm.:

Our offense in close games is pathetic.  Even worse, Tavarez (aka Suckrez) is back in the rotation tomorrow now that we traded away Gabbard.  Yanks pound 16 runs vs. ChiSox while we only get 3 vs. the O's?  Are you f-ing kidding me?  #34 had a great night no doubt, but if Manny ain't hitting, we can't get a f-ing RBI to save our azzzzzz.

Not to mention Beck takes a loss vs. the O's.....Are you kidding?  Look back the last 3-4 seasons and there is no other team in MLB the Sox have dominated more.  Our ace losing to these schmoes is a disgrace and reason to believe why the Sox will lose in the ALDS b/c we can't go toe to toe with solid offensive teams.

So for Theo, regardless of how great our pen is, if winning the ALD/CS comes down to Lugo, WMP, Crisp or JD Drew coming up with 2 out in the bottom of the 9th vs. a top notch closer, TGP swears he will put his fist (or some other projectile) through his flat screen TV.

PBR...

hmm...looked like some early morning server prob's here in d3 land...anywho tgp hang in there the market will come around everyone is still on the short end of the curve (2-3 yr. treasurys) the curve isnt inverted anymore. it looks to be finally stabilizing just need the storm clouds from sub's loans to go away

Isn't Schilling due back this week?  A number of good arms down on the farm are close as well.  As far as acquiring a bat goes, I agree.  This pretty much revolves back to the signing of JD Drew....had Theo worked out a deal for Dye, sitting JD and his 14mill. per would have made him look very bad....

PBR

I will be purchasing a six pack of PBR this evening.   I will post a bottle by bottle (or can by can) analysis at midnight.

For the BoSox fans...I think the upgrades they made, will give the whole team confidence and momentum.  Don't base your opinion on one game to the O's ...they will start cranking now...(and I'm not even a fan...)
