'gro

Reg, its sad that such a fine person like MR has to root for the evil empire of college football. Make sure she knows my comments on Fat Charlie's team do not reflect on the quality of education she received at ND.

Gro's other fave team besides 'cuse has always been Michigan.

JT

JT doesn't hate ND, just hard to like sometimes.  JT's relatives are all ND this and ND that since JT was little,

"You know they can't recruit idiots"

"They can admit a houseplant at [various ND opponent]"

Plus JT thinks Holtz was and still is a douche bag.  JT read "Under the Tarnished Dome."

JT likes Charlie from his ties to the Giants and Jets.  And he's a NJ guy.  But JT will sometimes pull for the underdog against ND.  Blame it on JT's Dad, Grand Dad, uncles.

Dood,
Didn't you retire?  Did you just need the LLPP to get down on their knees in order to realize how much we need you?

Sometimes, there's a long, drawn-out back story to these sorts of things...I'd just say, I'm back for one more year -- and only one more year -- doing Union's entire schedule on WABY...and the hope is to make a much better transition onto WRUC as the year progresses, in hopes that the product and coverage remain the same, but on Union's own station, in 2008.

My belief is that a team like Union, that competes with the best of them year in and year out, deserves the same professionalism and coverage area that teams like Hobart and RPI, who play similar schedules and perform similarly as well, have.  That's why we started the WABY approach in 2004 -- WEOS (Hobart) and WRPI (RPI) used to blow Union's coverage away in the early 2000s.  Union's athletics department agrees with me on that point, and we're working to make sure that Union's football program receives the best attention we can put together.  In other words, you're stuck with me for one more year.  Sorry!

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

LLFtblMom

It's the time of the year for Mom to wake up and talk to the boys!

Gotta agree with you all on ND... Mom is a hater from way back. Dad graduated from Purdue...bigtime in-state rivalry.

But gotta add something about the end of ND's schedule...Don't be picking on those Duke boys. They may be easy to beat, but according to Number One Son, an EE grad from Duke, they have the highest graduation rate in D1 football. Signs in Wallace Wade stadium to that effect.

Rolevio

Rolevio is the dissenter amongst the group apparently.  He grew up loathing Notre Dame, but now Rolevio likes them.   Though Rolevio is still primarily a Boston College fan in D1 so still likes seeing ND lose at least 1 game a year.  Apparently Rolevio really is a good little Catholic boy.
In Search of Holladawg

bigdvs

Stuck with Frank the Tank for another season. Woot! Woot! bigdvs will be listening to the stream for those away games. Make it good.

bigdvs likes the CharlieW ND, give him a 2 more years to get his recruits and see where they stand (this year could once again be a tough one to watch though)
The only true currency in this bankrupt world... is what you share with someone else when you're uncool.

"The defense will step it up until the offense catches up," senior linebacker and captain Vito Pellerito said.

Now Reg knows why he detests some of the people in the Union program so much.  Who says that?

"it's ok if you guys suck....we will work harder to pick up your slack!"

Check out his player profile....Dude, you are a senior....pick a major already!!!

59 Year old playing D3 this year

Ummmm...I hope Sul Ross State's insurance carrier doesn't catch wind of this.  It'll be reminiscent of when McGahee got injured in the National Championship game vs. Ohio State (was it 2001?) for Miami -- having taken out insurance just hours earlier.  Talk about an insurance situation causing the insurer a coronary.
