dang kmack a busy man at 2 a.m. only one around at that time tends to be ld11 although gro  is known to swing by and type in some kind of garbled message as he is been out on a bender and is eating a plate of nachos

I wish my garbled messages were so inspired. I don't even get off work some days until 2 a.m. Nothing like a 15-inning West Coast baseball game to wait around on (hence all the free time)

I must be drunk.

I just voted for Rochester to win the LL in the poll.

Agreed on the drunk part.....UR is the fad pick. Scott Green can't step out on the field and actually play.  RPI has the most talent, on paper, right now at the start of camp.

Respectfully posed question here:  Have you seen a LL game any time recently? What do you think of the quality?

Last LL team I saw in person was Hobart vs. Del Val in the playoffs in '05, I think, but I consult pretty closely with Pat, and he's seen The Shoes and saw RPI vs. Hobart last year.

As for the quality of the league, I'll stick by our conference rankings. The movement after the playoffs in '05 vaulted the LL over a lot of the other middle-grade leagues. I think we moved you from 18 or 19 to 10, and maybe dropped you back a few spots this year.

Best way to put it might be that the LL usually produces a good race and a team or two that can make a deep run in the playoffs, but I don't think anyone looks here for a championship contender. Top LL teams can usually compete with top teams from other leagues. I would put you behind the Empire 8 right now, and the NJAC, even with the depth in the top half (those conferences have it too).

I don't know if that was the answer you were looking for or a whole bunch of what you already knew. Do you mean how do your guys stack up to the nation's best size-wise and speed-wise? Where would the LL champ finish in the OAC or WIAC?

Let me know, I'm game to let you know what I think.

How is Alfred involed in anything named "top _____" besides "one of the top places on earth you would never end up, unless you were amish, lost, or trying to find Alfred U.

Reg went there for a visit with one of my friends (who actually ended up going to Alfred) and told them that there was no way.....notta, that Reg would ever consider something so far out of civilization to go to school.  I mean you literally need to pass people in horse & buggy to get to this place!

Is it just Reg or is BC08 sporting the "if you look at my sister again that way I am going to kill you", look.

That's the same look that Reg gave Gro when........<insert one of 5 times gro pissed off Reg by trying to grab some of Regs GF's booty here.>

an Alfred recruiter came to gro's high school waay waay late, after gro had done all the applications he wanted.  I didn't bite but my buddy went out there for a visit.  Don't take this the wrong way AU faithful, but when my friend got back, all he had to say about it was that it was in the middle of nowhere and everyone did drugs. Players too.
