haven't said a word yet... RPI has to beat Hobart, period. Even if bart ends up subpar, can't lose to the pumpkins anymore. RPI has to fill some holes to fill, but they have a 3rd year QB running the O.

'Gro--The Rev remembers the days when he dredded driving out to RPI because he knew that a whooping was about to be delivered express mail to the Statesmen.  Even the post-game visit to Isabella's didn't soften the hurt.

In post-Rev years, it looks like the tables turned.  Now, it's hard to say--both teams are so evenly matched that the game has to be played in order to see how the season will turn out for either team.  The Rev thinks that the RPI-Hobart game is the pivital match-up this year.  See you September 22nd.

Amen to that Rev.  Yeah Coach Max is the founding father of this whole new era of Hobart Football (92 - Present).  Coach Cragg simply took the reigns and kept climbing the ladder.

Hard to believe that since 2000 no team in Upstate NY has had a better W/L record than our Statesmen.

DP also still reeling from listening to game updates of Michigan - App State on XM radio.  How does something like that happen?  It doesn't seem remotely possible.

And what was the Mountaineers coach thinking kicking the Field Goal with 30 seconds remaining on first down?  You run the clock down and give Michigan 0 time left to rally.  It's freaking Coaching 101.  Even Michael Vick knows this stuff.  We are going to see that Michigan field goal blocked for the next decade!  And so is Lloyd Carr...

Best call should have been a mid-field dive (in order to center that ball more -- the angle was just cruel for the kicker) and a clock-killer spike in order to keep their timeout if they needed it on a blown play.  That would've been 3rd down with 10 seconds left.  I agree that the clock management was a little suspect, at best, but they got it done.  Boone, NC is now on the map.

Lloyd Carr, Chad Henne and Michael Hart will never ever be able to live this loss down... if michigan does not compete in the big 10 this year then I think Llyod carr has sealed his fate to be fired this year

The dumbest thing about that whole game is that Michigan should have never scheduled them in the first place.  App St. is the best 1-aa team in the country.  Put them in any major conference (Big 10, ACC, SEC) and they will win a few games.  And their QB was an nfl prospect 2 years ago.
