Mrs. Pep this morning informed Pep that she had thrown out Pep's slippers, much to Pep's dismay. Says they were worn out so she threw them out. Dammit, Pep owns:
--one pair of slippers
--one pair of black dress shoes
--one pair of brown dress shoes
--one pair of beat up mowing the lawn sneakers
--one pair of decent sneakers
--one back-up pair of sneakers

Mrs. Pep has literally 100s of pairs of shoes. What should Pep do?
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

And get this -- when the sneakers wear out, I replace them. Who has room for 28 pairs of men's shoes?

Dood, Who wants to ruin their rep and wear some busted up pair of kicks?  You need to keep them crispy....
Didn't Nelly teach you anything?

1 pair of sneakers
1 pair of old sneakers (mowing lawn, working in garden)
1 pair of comfortable black shoes for work
1 pair of heavy black shoes (wear to work in the winter or in the rain)
1 pair of fancy black shoes (job interviews, church)
1 pair of cleats (softball, baby!)

What's with you people?

Guru,
WIll D3fb.com give reg a tax deduction if I send you some crispy kicks?
That pair of "comfortable black shoes for work" have GOT to be kickin'

Does the Chalie Brown yellow cloud follow those things around or what??

Not sure what a "Chalie Brown yellow cloud" is, but I usually wear the sneakers to work. Only wear one of the sets of dark shoes if I'm meeting with someone important. Newsrooms tend to be fairly casual.

The yellow cloud is a something that smells so bad you can see it....like Linus on Charlie Brown...or whoever the kid was that stunk.

Gro used to own like 3 pairs of shoes in college.  One pair he wore for 3 years straight, to work, to frat parties, and any other event he couldn't wear sneakers to.  By the end of year 3, I think his shoes wrote him a letter (that smelled like a terd wrapped in burnt hair and vomit) to buy another pair.

By the way, I'm making room for these this year in my closet as we speak.  Can never have too many pairs of red shoes.

Ahh, see, that's Pig Pen, not Chalie (or Charlie) Brown.

And I think Pig Pen was just dirty. Don't believe he stank.

But sure, barring that, now I understand. :)

And I was waiting for someone to pull out the Shoes, sheesh. I thought this was the Liberty League board.

Yep, and it took the one guy who never played a down of football to bring them out.

LD11's feet rarely see any type of footwear.  I'd be willing to bet LD11 has more thick leather on the bottom of his feet than one of Reg's 15 pairs of topsiders.

I will have agree with Pat on the sneaker issue.  Wear a pair til they are beat, then get a new pair.  In LD11's world, sneakers are NOT fashionable with shorts, jeans, pants, whatever.  Sneakers are for the gym and yogging.

LD11 HATES shoes.  LD11 especially hates pants.  LD11 REALLY HATES black shoes.  LD11 HATES people who wear black shoes with buckles and EVEN WORSE with black pants and black shirts.

Now I know what to wear on November 10th to Frank Bailey Field.  Thanks for the idea, LD.

I can't take Superman's shoes, LD.  That'd be rediculous.
