Superman, this thread has run it's course but my closing comment is that, yes, I'm a firm advocate of defending one of your own but this is post patterns and his method was cheap, amateur, and excessively personal and antagonistic. Those kinds of provocations got RT into a lot of scuffles in his younger, hasty days

Pat, if we can create a "Omit Dramatic and Overly Sensitive Personal Banter" option for these forums, I'd streak in front of the Verizon building downtown right now.  Thanks.

RT, if it makes you feel better, LD11's credentials include once using an entire roll of toilet paper during a single dump session.

You're killing JT.  +k on account

C'mon, JT.  That's only impressive if it's double-ply and one of those 1000-sheet rolls.  THEN I'd be impressed.

Re: Schenectady

It's getting better, but it's a long way from where it could be.  Geppettoes would be good for a beer or 2 after the game, but it is not an all night establishment.

Gro agrees with LD that it's obvious that the RPI afterparty should be in troy since we don't get to see that place together too often.

Super, the newer bars (pinheads, the ditch, and that new one near the train station) have helped out schenectady... but like I said, looong way to go over in Shock Town.

PBR...

gro any chance to get the llpp pick'em up this week?

First off, since WHEN is Schenectady some gorgeous town?  Schenectady is nasty!  Troy is nasty as well.  But Troy has a MUCH better night life than Schenectady.  That my friend, is science.

Frank have you been down town recently... The new Hamilton inn is very nice and Bombers Burrito Bar just announced a new restaurant across from proctors

and RT I did not ask SJFF82 to come in...but you do have to admire his coming to the rescue...

I'm from the area, like you, Superman...So, I'm aware of the excitement.  However, Bombers Burrito Bar doesn't exactly give me the feeling to do cartwheels on behalf of Schenectady.

Frank, I work in that general area...so I'm a little bit more excited about it because I'm always looking for something good to eat...there is also a wine bar going in downtown (which should make the Union grads happy)

and rolevio isn't the Union Inn the place that Schenectady is trying to shut down because of the sex partys

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Is Schenectady like Jersey City, they are building nice condos and townhouses and opening nice clubs and restaurants but you still only have to walk two blocks to get your crack?

RT will acknowledge that SJF had some nice cheerleaders last year when RT did the playoff against the "former beasts of the east", rowan

Rowan's been written off many times during this run, but still took the East 9 out of the last 14 years.  Some other team is gonna have to take 3 out of 4...  or 5 of 8 East Region's before you really can take the crown off the Profs' head.  A Rowan downturn (missing the playoffs for like three years in a row.) w/o some other team taking over, would just vacate said "Beast" moniker.

Given the comic relief nature of the comment plus the fact that LD11 is probably really proud of the accomplishment, made it funny.

Rolevio wouldn't know, he hasn't been to Schenectady since 2003 but doubts it.  Back in Rolevio's day (2001 grad.)  the UI was a hangout for alot of off-duty Schenectady cops, so Rolevio and his friends went there because they were actually strict about ID's and it was a relief from the frats and the other bars in the area that catered to Union students.  Also because it was a hangout for cops it tended to stay open later than it was supposed to.

Hanging out in Schenectady would be like wearing condoms all over again.  It would be OK, but it just wouldn't feel right.

Wow - straight up drama in the LLPP this morning.

RT - please follow the PBR etiquette when posting a "full frontal" pics on the boards.

No need to get all Marky Mark on us.  We know you're drug free.

Thx,
