im pretty sure im not gonna change my mind on this

Ya see, Reg is already in your head...
You're right LD11-

His arguement is weak....oh blame the refs for not calling it on time.  Dood, did you even see the buffalo game??

They are trying to plan the TO immediately before the snap.

My arguement is that everyone is playing as though that play was the difference between winning and losing a game...hardcore......obviously you have never been there "fan of D3"

Being at the game last night I can say that whole FG situation was a joke...

I had to sit through two game winning kicks and watch the Cowpies celebrate twice.......

Yeahhhh you're right why blame the refs....they're only the ones in charge of the game.  We hsould probably blame the guys selling beer, you know, the people who are really involved.

Yes, I did see the buffalo game....and?

And yes, you know so much about me i have never been there before.

The rule should stay the same

theoriginalupstate

how can the refs blow the whistle in time to alert the players that the play is dead when its a split second or two before the ball is snapped?

fan of d3

you blow the whistle...its all you can do because ITS THE GAME.

Theres time on the clock u can call a TO.

Its the same as the qb who calls a TO with  1 sec on the clock.  So how do change the rule so its completely fair.  Someone give me that answer

What a jerk

I would personally say something to the D3 coach that starts using this tactic.  Apparently, I can take most of them (when Gro has my back) and they don't have the security of pro FB coaches.

CONCRETE!!!!

ALright guys, let's all just get along, and sing this lovely Spanish love song to each other...

$200 million just doesnt buy what it used to....
So many sources have shown that there is no correlation between the amount of money spent and how well a team does.  One such book is "Baseball Bewteen the Numbers."  "Moneyball" also talks about how Billy Beane put together a high-powered A's squad with almost nothing (compared to other teams).  Sure, they would lose in the playoffs, but making to the playoffs on such a small amount of money = a high $-to-win ratio.

The Yankees are The Rev's favorite team, but even The Rev is disturbed by Steinbrenner's denial of reality.  Stop spending money and start looking for young players who can be developed--i.e. Posada, Jeter, etc. in the early 1990s.  For all of the talk about how the Yankees only buy victories, look back at the early 90's.  One cannot claim with a straight face that the victory was bought through Big Name players because guys like Jeter BECAME big names as a result of being on the Yankees, not the Yankees winning because Jeter was a big name.

It is time for a big Yankees purge.  Keep some of the elder statesmen like Jeter and Posada and then bring in a host of young guys from the minor league.  Let Jeter and Posada mentor the young guys and the Yankees will be the 2011-2015 World Champs...that when Steinbrenner will again forget the success formula and mistakenly think money buys wins.

in all honesty....they should fold those 2 franchises in florida and have a draft for their major/minor league players...its embarrassing how little support they get. its time to bite the bullet and dilute the product less and fold those 2

Better yet, we should do pro sports in the U.S. like the Brits fun their football association...with tiers.  A loser in the A tier will move down to the B tier; a winner in the C tier will move up to B, and so on up and down the tiers.  That way teams like the Devil Rays and Marlins would move down to AAA while Scranton-Wilkes Barre would move up to the MLB.  This would mean that the minor league teams would have to be independent of MLB teams, or else a franchise would run the risk of controlling rivals in the same tier.

Anyway, The Rev wants to see Religation in U.S. sports.
