The game is FRIDAY not some time in December, Pumpkin. Vanek is about the only foreigner on a Gopher roster in my memory, and I'm an old fart, unless you count someone from Madison, WI as foreign. How many Canucks does RPI have?

They have many.  But they dont pride themsleves on having state-only talent like Minnesota does.....

The Gophers are all Minnesotan this year, and they took home two trophies last year, despite having all of one foreigner from Colorado Springs.  Lucia has never promised to uphold the all-Minnesota "rule", but will keep the core of the team Minnesotan.  And Vanek lived in South Dakota, not to mention the Potulny's were from Grand Forks!  Seems like someone in New York likes Mr. Vanek as well-- they are certainly paying him well this year.

I'm looking forward to seeing some good hockey-- I'm just hoping it'll be in maroon and gold.
