SLU is just giving TDs away.  After 'Bart drove down and scored on their first possession, SLU has to punt on their first drive, snap over the head of the punter, gives 'Bart the ball on the 4.  TD next play.  Midway through 1st quarter:
Hobart 14- SLU 0
St. Lawrence University - 2010 LL Champs

RPI leads MMA 27-3 in the 2nd quarter.  2 punt return TD's for RPI.

Ummmm...did they cut the field in half and put up endzone nets at the half in the Hobart game?  Hobart scores four TDs while SLU scores three TDs in the third quarter.  Hobart in a romp (Stomp) in the 4th -- 56-21.

Good warm up for the Alfred game.  Might have to catch that one on ECAC tv, since I'll be out of town.  NJ Bart!
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

It seems like the best team usually wins in the playoff format in D3.  Can't we (please) have some form of playoff in DI?  If the NCAA is worried about losing bowl game revenue, we'll just call it "The Chase" or something similar, and all the Southern States will be ok.

I am sick of the polls.  Get us a playoff already.

This reminded me of something else that bothers about the bowl system.  Because all of the major bowls are in the South, and bowls pick their teams based on how many tickets they can sell, the northern schools will always be at a disadvantage, especially those with reputations of having a fanbase that doesn't travel.

BC is one team like this, despite being the 3rd best (I believe) in the ACC 2 years ago, they were sent to Boise for a much smaller payday than they should of received.  Last year they got screwed as well, though not quite as bad as being sent to Boise.

So if you are keeping the bowl system and not letting teams earn it on the field because of the money involved, and several teams each year get screwed out of money they should get because they were passed over, how good is the system?

PBR...

just remember rolevio some conferences like the big ten pool all their bowl money together and every team in the league gets an equal slice of the pie. your right about a little disadvantage for nothern schools and some of the teams chosen and fan bases that travel although being a psu fan they have the best traveling fan base in the country and sell out most stadiums so bowl committees fall all over themselves to get psu in the bowl. and most big ten teams travel very well but your right in they are the exception not the rule

Frank Rossi

Now assuming Kansas moves to 7-0 after this Colorado game on ESPN, does that mean Kansas should jump to #2 or #3 in the human polls this week?

Touchdown Tommy

PBR you've said some rediculous shizz lately.  Are you taking your meds?  There is NO way on God's green earth that Penn State has the "best traveling fan base" in the country.  Nadda.  None.  Cut the hyperbole sir.

Ever hear of a school in South Bend call Notre Dame?  Ok thanks for playing..

PBR...

sorry TDT put down the crack pipe feel free to ask or look up the fiesta bowl/orange bowl/rose bowl (thats right ND cant play there...) game, set match....check mate...now sit down and shut yer yapper

Touchdown Tommy

REG: Can you do TDT a favor and translate that last post from PBR?  He is acting a bit Supermanish lately.

FYI: There are probably 5-10 Div.1 teams minimum with "better traveling fan bases" than Penn State.  Remember this has absolutely nothing to do with whether the team Wins or Loses in said game.  It is a question of whose alumni travel the best along with a few students/faculty etc.

Regulator

Reg can't decifer what either one of you are trying to say....

Is Reg supposed to belive ND has the best traveling fan base?.....this year?

PBR- you are not allowed to use the phrase "game, set, match" unless you want to hold fan of D3's pocket inside out for the day.

Knightstalker

ND doesn't have a travelling fan base, they have a fan base that is spread throughout the country, hence the good ND support everywhere they go.

That's true because Redtackle is a huge ND fan...and we ALL know that he's spread pretty well throughout the country...

It's SCIENCE.

Rolevio

Rolevio sees LSU is down 17-7 to Auburn at the half.  Rolevio's hoping Auburn holds on so all SEC teams have 2 losses and sports sites stop being flooded with people saying a 1-loss SEC team deserves an NC bid over *insert any other team here*.

Well LSU has come back.

Who exactly have Ohio State and BC beaten that have any worth whatsoever?
