Not talking about your computing as much as your punditry. :)

For those who like to know big words

C'mon, RT, it was only six letters.  Must've been tough for you when you combined "Red" and "Tackle" into one word.  Wikipedia have an entry on that name?

Frank..it wasn't so much the anacronym that makes RT's head spin as it was the drill down into all of this info

your other question on RT's status w/ Winkepdia is a good one....as of yet, RT is only aligning himself with the fishing industry

Man, U89 could buy that "RedTackleBox" for .99 then have to pay $6 to ship the thing.....crazy!!

Maybe Frank Rossi could purchase said box and convert it to a RedTackle 'Tool' Box....this could certainly start an all out over the top UFC grudge match at Shoooooozapaloooza III.

Good Times........

Since it is a relatively slow day I thought I would share this with LLPP:

http://deadspin.com/sports/heath-shuler/shuler-still-playing-bad-football-in-dc-314028.php

Congressman Heath Shuler started at QB for the Congressional football team and threw two picks on his way to getting shutout by the Capitol Police football team.  Insert joke about getting shutout in DC here.

Good point, U89, since RT is already bringing the tools to that game...

Good lord, all these anacronysims© is killing RT.

Man, my copyright pro bono practice is growing like it's taking HGH!  Welcome aboard, RT.

Bummer, RT.  I thought we had another acre of Intellectual Property there, but it turns out that

Webster's New Millennium Dictionary of English got there first:
Main Entry:        anacronym
Part of Speech:   n
Definition:          an acronym that few remember what the letters stand for, such as laser and radar1
Example:           URL is becoming an anacronym as no one can remember what the letters stand for.
Etymology:        from 'anachronistic' and 'acronym'

1When I was an engineering student in Troy, I took classes where

  • LASER = Light Amplification through Stimulated Emission of Radiation and
  • RADAR = RAdio Direction And Range
might have been test questions.

The Johnnies are about to wax the rival Tomcats for the tenth straight year. We need to know what that is called in the lexicon of Monkey Business?  ???

In the SEC, five straight is called "the thumb."  As in "Fear the thumb."  Sounds like the Johnnies get the second thumb.

How about an Ebert & Roeper Stomp (aka the "Two Thumbs Up Stomp")
def.  one team that has owned another team for entire decade.

Props to Jose for the thumb idea.

Interesting story on an RPI wide receiver.  We should start charging a finders fee or something. :)

That would make me mad enough to create 42 more playoff scenario posts.  :)

Frank, don't fret.

In the interest of fairness, here's one about Jared Gourrier at Union.

SRT,
If some way or another the Engineers and Johnnies could play each other in the playoffs I think that would be:

Jared's a really good guy...Well spoken in our post-game interview a couple weeks ago, and he's dealt with the QB shuffle like a trooper so far.  Can only wish the best for him -- of course, Cattelier might be healed up soon enough, making the QB question someone tough for Coach Audino to answer.  I think the fact that Union can lose the St. Lawrence game without any near-term penalty might allow Audino to explore his options a bit.
