Touchdowns were worth four points back then, guys. Don't you know the history of your sport?

Obviously RT doesn't. Would be cool if TDs were worth 4 still. Another quality opening for the Guru to come in w/ his perverbial football wisdwom!!!!

'WISDWOM'??
Have you started early on the carbombs??

By the way, U89 met FMRT at Shoozapalooza I......will FMRT be making a return appearance at Shoozzzzz III??

Yes.  She'll be my date.

Was waiting for you to emerge this week.......FR, you hitting Geppetto's after the game or doing the booster tailgate thing?

Guru, don't wanna step on ya toes, but I said that like 4 posts ago! Jeez! ;D :D

Looks like Pat may be looking for a new East Region columnist next year?  :o

I lost a karma point! Damn you, Guru!  :o :D

Dude, I have other things to do on the site than smite you. More important to write that playoff projection than worry about your karma.

I think you just became bulletin board material with your projections, Sir Coleman.

no FMRT this year...she's out of town for work. We've changed the official designation to RTGF (RT's girlfriend). RT would prefer to leave it at that....

Pat....RT REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wishes that this could've held off until Sat morning at about 11:30am when not many people will see this in time to feed bulletin board material for the game. Don't get RT wrong, he loves knowing RPI has a vote of confidence but this is a team that fundamentally thrives on the underdog role. If you ask anyone, to a man, on that team or coaching staff if they want the media predicting them to win on Sat, RT's belief is that the answer would come back "no". It's not that they don't appreciate being in a position to be a favorite....they just don't want it. It's not comfortable. It's the flashy new suit when RPI prefers a pair of faded Levi's. That's just how we roll.

After a comment like that, you might want to wear your nut-protector.

this site has predictions all the time, especially with the triple take on the Dose... what's the big deal?

RT, wouldn't RPI be obligated to wear bugle boy jeans?

There's a difference between bantering about predictions of individual games and making the bold step of predicting an entire conference or two when they are in deep ties (they did it with E8, too).  This might have been the year to let it wait until Saturday night, and try to give a ranking to Pool C teams instead.  I think their in-region rankings are pretty suspect, too, to be honest.  When I give analysis here, I only discuss teams that are alive, dead or their relative ranking orders in order to let everyone else know what needs to be done for entry into the playoffs.  I always cringe when someone other than the NCAA makes this venture.

(Edit:  By a quick count, 22 out of 32 slots are not determined as of yet -- that means that 12 Pool A bids are still up for grabs.  By memory, this is unusually high, especially with six slots in the East Region undetermined at this point.  I appreciate the three disclaimers, but when you have to rise above one disclaimer, I think you generally have the rationale of why doing this is more a minefield than a gift.)

Why yes, yes they would.

Jim Dion, president of Dionco Inc., a Chicago-based retail consulting firm, said he wasn't surprised that Bugle Boy went bankrupt.

"In today's retail industry, a company is either growing [hot] or stagnant, and Bugle Boy was still relying on the legacy of its parachute pants, a concept it started more than 10 years ago," Dion said. "The company was simply not able to move beyond the parachute concept and develop a new sustainable look."
