Oooh, live stats.  Thanks for the heads up, Guru.

Caz Bombers

Congrats to RPI, you've got your Shoes and we've got our Jug....looks like the Neers will be kings of the LLPP.

For a C bid, IC, Hobart, both or neither?

labart96

Darn Futchmen.

Hats off to RPI taking the LL and the AQ.

gobombers

Looks like 'bart has this game taken care of.

labart96

Yep.  Hobart 30 - Beez 14 looks like the final.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

My "East" Bracket Predictions (With Regional W-L):

1) St. John Fisher (9-1)
2) Curry (11-0)
3) RPI (8-1)
4) Salisbury (5-1)
5) Widener (7-2)
6) New Jersey (8-2)
7) Hartwick (8-2)
8 ) Hobart (8-2)

I hate placing Hobart as an 8-seed, but there are some first- and second-round travel implications that could be pretty ugly.  However, you can't drop TCNJ to #8 with their loss -- that would have made the second-round travel issues slightly easier to deal with after the Salisbury/Widener game.  This also avoids a potential second-round rematch between Hobart/RPI.  I think Fisher jumps Curry based on Fisher's quality win today and their Strength of Schedule being considered much higher than that of Curry.  There's one thing that's certain -- this is a tough bracket to seed based on the travel and rematch issues.

Hey Rev,

Saw the 2nd half of Hobart vs. U or R game.  Bart's QB and offense looks amazing. Will you travel if we hear the proper news tomorrow at 11:30?  It may be a SJF vs Bart matchup.

TGP's sees where you are coming from, but how could SJF be the #1 seed as a Pool C?  Wick won the E8 and has a head to head victory over SJF.  Not to say TGP doesn't see SJF as a solid #2 seed, especially given the TCNJ loss, but no way SJF is #1.  TGP thinks Wesley will be the #1 in the East.

You don't move #1 seeds out of their natural region.  Ask the NCAA D-1 Basketball Committee.  In this situation, the travel would be a big issue -- there is no team that easily fits at #8 that could be a fit for Wesley -- Wesley stays in the South as a 2 seed, most likely.  Winning the conference matters not when you seed the teams, especially if the team that beat you finishes with more losses than you.  SJF's only loss is to an NCAA-bound team...and SJF has a good strength of schedule.  Hartwick's loss to WNEC will continue to dog them.

labart96

Fair enough.  TGP doesn't care where Hobart ends up as long as it's in the NCAAs.

Upstate NY Fan agrees with TGP. Just want to see them in the NCAA's.
