Yes, it's true that I will make the roadie if 'Bart plays SJF. Hey, UNYF, I guess things have changed since our day... SJF was the only team we beat all four years.

I'm sort of new to the message board thing... what's up with all the 3rd person commentary?

A Welcome +K to my boy, Ohio Hobart.

OH was the first person The Rev met at Hobart.  Upstate NY FAN was proably the second.  We are all freshmen at football camp.  It's kind of fun to have LLPP bring us back together.

ECAC Potential Playoff Teams (Declared as of Last Thursday's Deadline)

1. 8-1 - Plymouth State University (NEFC)
2. 8-2 - Coast Guard Academy (NEFC)
3. 7-2 - Ithaca College (E8)
4. 7-3 - Alfred University (E8)
5. 7-3 - Cortland State (NJAC)
6. 6-3 - Bridgewater State College (NEFC)
---------------------------------------------------
5-4 - Union College (LL)
6-4 - University of Rochester (LL)
5-4 - Nichols College (NEFC)

ATTENTION UNION AND ROCHESTER FANS

According to a reliable source, Ithaca withdrew from ECAC Playoff consideration last week.  Therefore, the sixth slot is open for Union, Rochester and Nichols.  Since there are already three teams chosen from New England, it is likely that another New York team will be selected.  Therefore, Union or Rochester will likely be selected for the final ECAC slot.   The conference call will be held at 8pm EST Sunday.

i agree that bridgewater will go to plymouth in the ECAC .. i think CGA will play Alfred if Alfred excepts the bid because according to sources Ithaca will not play in the ECAC... congrats to Curry even tho they will struggle to beat anyone other than Hartwick...and that will be no gimmee

superman57

according to the great PC...we could see some interesting games here
St. John Fisher Bracket
1. St. John Fisher (C)
2. Curry (A)
3. RPI (A)
4. Hobart (C)
5. New Jersey (A)
6. Hartwick (A)
7. Ithaca (C)
8. Widener (A)
A surprise, perhaps, right off the bat as we have three Empire 8 teams in the field. Hartwick passed Widener in opponents' winning percentage (OWP) and OOWP this week and dragged Ithaca up with them. Widener plays at St. John Fisher, Ithaca at Curry, Hartwick at RPI and New Jersey at Hobart.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Isn't Coast Guard also out due to that weird NEFC rule about playing in the NEFC Championship Game and the ECAC's?

Never have seen that rule -- and I can't remember a time when the runner-up in the NEFC Championship Game got the boot...Remember any specific instances?

Question re: the LL title..

How is that the title is shared when RPI has the edge in head to head w/ Hobart?  Do they strictly go via LL W/L?

The UCAA and LL have always adhered to the "Co-Champion" distinction over the years.  Tiebreakers are only used in order to select the AQ since that rule went into effect late last decade.

It had something to do with an old rule of teams not being able to play more than 11-12 regular season games unless there was a championship game or something.........Im not sure either

A good time was had by all in Shocktown yesterday....only thing lacking was a Union 'W'.

Some highlights.....

- U89 finally paid 'Gro his sawbuck from the LLPPFFLSCFJ loss
- Reg did indeed wear docksiders
- LD was by far the most hungova cat at the beginning if the tailgate
- The tailgate itself was off the hook....pigroast, with all the fixin's....well done RT
- Every time U89 saw LD, he was either on the phone with WTFF or jammin' another pig sammwich down his throat
- What was up with that lady not giving U89 a victory cookie even after U89 bought one of her wristbands?
- Some random RPI cat took a punch squarely in the puss from a Union dude on the hill....then they rolled down the hill...it was beautiful
- 'Gro was right next to the above fight and many mistakenly thought 'Gro was involved....that's not how 'Gro rolls
- How about the RPI alumn wearing his #8 game jersey....sleeves taped up, with those straps on his arms....he was hands down 'tool of the day'
- 'Gro & Reg bummed like 243 Miller Lite's from U89....get a job punks (told you this was going online)
- Don't know if the RPI clan knows this but.....at Geppetto's, Paulie pulled U89 aside and told U89 that all the RPI guys had to leave....U89 asked, "Why Paulie, those are buddies of mine"....Paulie's response, "This is a Union bar and RPI fans are not welcome"....can't really argue with that sound logic, but U89 called bullsh!t on Paulie and defended the RPI clowns
- Good to meet KrazyKrazy for the first time....btw, what was up with KK not drinking, but still passing out on a bar stool in Geppetto's?

U89 is sure he forgot some good ones....feel free to add anything deemed necessary....

Nice recap.  JT hopes to do a shoes game one of these days.

WOW!!!!!

Surprise, surprise....Mount Union heading up the East Bracket.  So much for the NCAA not wanting to move a #1 seed out of region.

Good luck to RPI & Hobart.....U89 would love to see Ithaca knock off the big dog next week.
