RT has been getting some disturbing vibes from the LL and NJ boards..hopefully it's isolated incidents. WE HAVE A PLAYOFF GAME THIS SAT THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE Mt.UNION.

Screw MUC. Yea, they win everything, big deal. So should everyone in the east region pack it in b/c grimmace is now in our region? Are you naysayers a bunch of flaming sallys??? I would've killed to be in a bracket w/ the #1 team in the country. Each game at a time....beat TCNJ. Period. This is going to be a tough one. If RT hears anymore defeatist talk or panties-in-a-bunch mentality, he's going to look up your IP address and come to your work, house, or apartment and bounce a bowling ball of your head....

RT, the fans might be giving off the bad vibes but you know the players don't care.  Back when NJCU had a team they never backed down from anybody even though they pretty much sucked for the most part.  Then one year they went into Glassboro and handed it to Rowan, it was the highlight of the programs existance.  KS has a feeling that Coach King and Coach Hamilton will have RPI and TCNJ ready for each other.  TCNJ has one hell of a defense but not much offense, they tend to try to get an early lead and let the D hold on.

KS thinks the East is a pretty balanced bracket with the two extremes, MUC and Curry.  KS thinks most of the games this weekend are pretty much pick ems.

Obviously the NCAA committee has pegged RPI as a sacrificial lamb to TCNJ. Otherwise, how could anyone explain a second round meeting in THE EAST REGION that would require paying for a plane (on Thanksgiving weekend no less). RPI is over the NCAA 500 mile limit from Mt. Union (507 to be exact) while TCNJ is only 404.

This is incorrect. It's 481.8 miles according to the settings used by the NCAA -- MSN MapPoint and shortest possible distance setting.

Would Curry then be the only team outside of the 500 miles?  I guess the committee was fairly certain that Curry would never make it to the finals to face Mount Union (to not be defeatist, should they make it there)

This week is Jersey, Jersey, Jersey... I swear if anyone in the RPI fam says mount he will be jacked up by the kinger or put into the kingers mental queue for a future jack up.

Same goes for the fans, and Coach has outsourced all jack ups to Gro and Applejack.

Now Gro needs to weigh in on the Geppettoes incident.... next post.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Geppetoes Post Game

Most everything has been brought up by the others involved.  Gro, Gro's brother and his GF are all Schenectady natives and have been coming to Geppetoes for a LONG time. My brother jokes that we "put paulies kids through college".

Paulie greeted the usual suspects and all was good.  Everything was fine for a good while.  Nice to see the PP crew (LD, RT, Gro, KK, U89, Garnet, Frank R) drop the college loyalties and hang out for some brews after a great football game.

99% of the people there were cool. Then "The Mom" in the white jacket had an issue.  If you remember U89's rundown about the fight on the hill Gro was in the immediate area and I think Gro was getting some "I want to kill you" looks from the crowd.  None the less, only the one lady was complaining to paulie and everyone else was acting normal.  Paulie then comes to my bro and explains that we need to go so there "won't be any trouble". Brothergro give paulie the "are you f-ing serious" speech and puts paulie in his place.  Union Mom calmed down and things were normal again.

We decide to hit the road back to Troy a few minuets later. On the way out gro spoke to coach Reynolds and his wife. Told them they had a good program, and a great game today.  A different Union mom offered us cake on the way out and we spoke briefly.  Nice gestures by the union folk. Well appreciated. Even told Paulie thanks as we left... then as we got in the car 4 police cruisers pull up.  WTF?? Good thing we were not inside at the time since Schenectady cops (the newer ones) are notoriously corrupt and would probably love to thump a few RPI skulls.

p.s. lewdogg... I could have beat the living ish out of you with a phone charger Friday night when you were face down on the floor at my brother's apt... but I didn't.  Remember that.

U89, Garnet, and the other Union folk on the other hand....Thanks for the hospitality.  Without the invite, we woulda never been in that situation, so the idea was good, the result was bad.  Sharing Regulator's sentiments on yesterday's car ride home...I may NEVER go to Troy/Schenectady or the entire capital district ever again.  While we have all changed and evolved from our ape status, most people still there haven't changed a bit and most should be embarrassed of themselves.

Great summary. RT may stick to tail gates, pig roasts and radio broadcasts....he's getting too old for this shizz. Paulie, get a life....

Dude, you could have crapped on my head Friday night and I wouldn't have known what happened.

I DID however, check out my mug in the mirror when i woke up to make sure I didn't have anything resembling a math award drawn on my face.

FYI - Gro crapped his pants Saturday night...

Well here is JU's itinerary for this weekend for the LLPP:

Friday
8:00AM- Drive from Boston to Buffalo in rented Hummer with a few buddies.
8:00PM- Hit downtown Buffalo for a few brews

Saturday
7:00AM- Drive from Buffalo to Alliance, Ohio to watch IC/MUC
4:00PM- Drive back to Buffalo
8:00PM- Niagra Falls (Canadian!!!) for casinos, "clubs" and more beer"

Sunday
8:00PM- Buffalo/Patriots game

RE: Fights/Rivalries

Bottom line is that you simply cannot wear opposing teams stuff in rival areas, especially when alcohol is involved.  Of course you should be able too and things should be cool, but just like Im not going to wear any Pats stuff to the Bills game, I wont be wearing any redsox stuff when I go to NYC.  Ive seen enough stupid shizz to know that only bad things happen once the booze starts flowing.

FYI - Gro crapped his pants Saturday night...

not so fast my friend.  after a day of drinking and eating roast pig and ruck wings... gro had some business to attend to around midnight.  LD of course jumps in there 1st to whiz, then starts brushing his teeth! Gro yanks LD out of the bathroom and proceeds to spackle the inside of the bowl.  It was not pretty. I looked like Jeff Daniels in dumb and dumber. A shower immediately ensued.

the pants survived the ordeal, which was good since they were the only pair I brought home and I don't think the TSA allows passengers to carry on poopy pants.

Yes, it's the playoffs and were talking about poop at LLPP Inc.
