Hey guys....I have a question for those with an advanced degree.

What kind of GMAT scores could one expect if you put in a decent 2 weeks of studying?  Would you even come close to breaking into the 600's?

2 weeks is definitely not enough.  If you can, TGP would recommend getting a private tutor from either Kaplan or Princeton Review to help you in your preparation.

Your prep should be consistent to the type of b-school program (assuming that is your goal since you are taking the GMAT) for which you are applying.

A sub or around 600 is probably ok for a part time or EMBA, but won't cut it for most FT MBA programs.

TGP- Do you really think Reg can stop working and still support MR?  I spoke to the director of admissions at GWU today who has 23 of about 35 seats filled for his spring part time accellerated program.  The deadline to get in the application is Thursday.  Reg explained his situation (haven't studied but still wants to start the program and just came out and asked him if I was in or not with a 550....he told me that with my undergrad, work experience and good looks that a 550 would do it.  Plus it would be pretty hard for a college with only 60% of it's seats filled to turn down someone paying full tuition, don't you think?

Deadline for the GMAT is 12/07/07 if Reg wants to get in in time for the spring semester, otherwise he pushes the MBA another year out.  That's why I asked what was possible.

I hear ya.  TGP went the PT route.  It's a beeyotch to do it, but the ROI from getting the MBA has been good for TGP.

A 550 should be fine.

Funny story -- They placed President Ainlay and his wife in the box next to us (and had space for President Jackson to their left, as well).  After the intercepted two-point conversion by Rautenstrauch (#8) in the end zone, he attempted to tightrope the sideline without success.  I thought he was clearly out of bounds, and I said as much on the air.  Mrs. Ainlay shot me such a stare and a negative nod when I said it -- I thought she was going to slap me and have my vehicle towed from the area.  For someone who has been at Union for only 16 months, she's pretty protective of her Dutchmen already.

U89 has 10 bucks that says Mrs. Ainlay would beat down Action Jackson....Rampage vs. Iceman style....

no...RT has given up more than 24 points on defense all season.

Also, RT always had a knack for standardized tests for some reason........since RT stayed at RPI for MBA, guess the score wasn't as relavent since RT doesn't think he needed as high of a score given his ties to the school. Would've helped more if RT was trying to get into Cornell or something..then again, RT couldn't have afforded Cornell. Thank the Lord RT was hurt his soph. year or there would've been no MBA anyway.....yet another reason why football is so important to life!!!
