That was kinda wrong for the cop to spray him before finished.  Hopefully he wizzed all over the back seat.

did Sirius and XM merge? RT doesn't understand what's going on. If they did, does that mean that RT, a loyal XM subscriber, will now have access to Sirius' "Hair Nation" station????

Hey guys....I have a question for those with an advanced degree.

What kind of GMAT scores could one expect if you put in a decent 2 weeks of studying?  Would you even come close to breaking into the 600's?

Reg ask youself why you exactly why you want to get an MBA anyway (or how you would need it or use it I should say)  A kid I went to high school with went to Brown undergrad and then Harvard MBA.  (He was one of those 1520 SAT guys).  But he never had a great job (his choice, he kind of did his own thing) and it seemed like companies werent offering him 200K salaries after he got his MBA like he thought they would.

I dont know too much about MBAs but they seem like the sort of thing where if you already have a 150K a year job, they help you get that 250K a year job.......

I heard the deal was falling through. (anti-trust stuff or something like that, or had to be approved by the FCC?)

I dont see why the gov would care about this.  I mean, no one is stopping other companies from getting their own satellites right?

I think the only two companies anyone's ever heard of merging and therefore grabbing 99.99999% of the market is a pretty strong discouragement...

1) Putting up satellites costs a ton

2) Would take years, if ever, to make money on subscribers (XM and Sirius aren't)

Those are public companies that have to making something.  Still lots off ads on there and not too much overhead.  (besides putting an electronic device onto a spaceship)

Yeah but I didn't subscribe to XM for ads.  Karmazin sold so much ad time at CBS, that Howard only had to do 20-25 minutes an hour.  Also Karmazin better lay off O&A, who are much better and cheaper than Howard at this point.

Right.  But I get a strange feeling that Stern is getting more than just a salary from Sirius and that he kind of IS Sirius...

No.  Sirius shareholders approved it today.  It's nearly in the books.

My guess for the next generation of radio...WiMax radio.  You can listen to any radio station in the world from your WiMax receiver (in-home or in-car) -- and an under-company would create feeds to each one for a monthly fee.  It would devistate satellite radio as soon as WiMax becomes nationally available.  Anyone with me on doing some VC for this?
