My guess for the next generation of radio...WiMax radio.  You can listen to any radio station in the world from your WiMax receiver (in-home or in-car) -- and an under-company would create feeds to each one for a monthly fee.  It would devistate satellite radio as soon as WiMax becomes nationally available.  Anyone with me on doing some VC for this?

WiMax is just wide-area WiFi -- so the company putting the links together would be using the already-existing Internet feeds to do it and firing those to customers in a sensible, categorized way (perhaps the radio could have a "region" or "state" selecter, and then a selecter for zip code/city...and then list all the stations in or near that zone.  This would also allow all college radio stations on the Web to have their games heard by their fans in cars -- removing the need for a wide-range commercial radio station carrier in Division III.

Ok I get it.  You would still have to be paying for some sort of internet carrier though......

Right, but you wouldn't be limited to 100 stations - ANY online station would be available for you.  The underlying company would also be in a position to work with stations to get them to create CD-quality streams so that the quality is crisp for most, if not all stations picked up.

Mr. Tank(ard of Carlo) Rossi: As your patent counsel, I would advise you to limit public disclosure of your new technology, and of your improvements to known or existing technology.  Such public disclosure can severely limit (y)our Intellectual Property rights, thus devaluing those rights.

How would you get the radio signals from all over the world though? And if you could do that cheap, why are cell phones still so dam expensive!

I'll make it 13x, tgp.

I would love to get involved in this type of venture.... I don't have any capital, but it's a great idea.  :D ;)

No problem, Jimmy Olson.  Just explain to the future Missus Olson that you traded in her ring on some magic beans.  Beans that when planted will grow into a giant beanstalk, and knock the satellite radio transmitters out of the sky, replacing them with airships hovering in the stratosphere.

MLBaseball post-season award voting is conducted before playoffs begin, and the results are doled out piecemeal,1 to maximize PR value.  For regular season performance, C.C. Supermassivia wasn't a difficult choice.

1Kinda like de Beers and the diamonds (I'm still thinking of DewCrew and his beloved betrothed).

Beckett's pitching accounted for enough wins to put Boston over the top in their Division for the first time in 12 years with a sick ERA -- this was even before the playoffs.  I disagree with your assessment wholeheartedly.

If I go part-time, I would only have to pay interest?

I'm paying the full shot now, 3 years removed... Think I can still do that (that being pay only interest now)?

What do you mean "the full shot"?  The entire $156 they charge you a month for your student loan payment?

Secondly, haven't you heard of the trouble people have had with the "interest only" loans?  You eventually have to pay them off!....it just ends up costing you much more in the end.  Just ask Gro for a loan, he's good for it.

Put myself thru - so owe quite a bit, even though the final 3 yrs were at a state school.

I'd try and just pay the interest while working & going part-time for an MBA. I just didn't know what my options were.

Yeah this was a crock of sh!t.  If it's strikeouts that win you the Cy Young, then they got the the right guy.  I always thought it was the best overall pitcher in baseball.  1 20 game winner in both leagues with matching stats otherwise...I think the baseball gods were a little upset the Sox are gonna win everything else.

Toothless Eddie and Hairless Dave were incredible last night.  They f@#$in rocked the garden, Eddie was on fire and Dave was his usual entertaining self.  It was funny watching him try to do the high kicks, he can't quite get them anymore, can do all the screeching but still puts on a hell of a show.  KS thinks Dave should be the host of a new Gong Show.

Those OAC tools didn't even like the lawnmower video.  Ohitians have no sense of humor.

Is Ohitian the correct designation for an Ohio native?

If so, I like it.

If it's not, it should go in the WikiLLPPedia
