RT any word on the festivities for saterday...

Well, the bad news is that, no, there is no pig roast. RT couldn't get enough folks we needed to for the required headcount. However, the normal tailgating will commentce at 9am. PM me if you need more detail on directions, what to bring, etc

The GOOD news is that RT will be doing color commentary for the D3football.com coverage of the RPI/TCNJ game. This is special to RT since he is finally involved in an RPI broadcast and RT can assure you that you will hear a professional, balanced game call. RT believes the feed is also being picked up on the NCAA website. If you're going to tune in, check us out as an alternative to what you're used to for the RPI casts!!!

Congrats bro'.....well earned.

Senor RedTackle

superman...RT gots no PM from you

RT is your email still the same as it is in your profile

Frank, KS thinks that when it is not sound geographically the NCAA will revert to their old ways.  But when you can move just a couple of teams, keep it under 500 miles and you can give the consensus four best teams number one seeds they should do it.

Tags would like to propose giving Mt. Union the championship prior to the season actually starting. Then you could have the rest of the field play the regular season, and have their own playoffs, with a shot at what we'll call the "Crag Mountain Bowl" --- strictly for 2nd place.

BOL..this is one of the best posts RT has ever seen out of Tags, or anyone for that matter, in a long time.

Kind of reminds me of Massachusetts high school hockey.  You see in Massachusetts, private schools and public schools both play in division 1 hockey.  But for the state championship, no public school has come close to winning a state title since Calvin Coolidge was prez.  So everyone is always bitching about private schools not being allowed to be in the state finals, and the private schools always threaten to sue the MIAA if any action is considered........Im kind of losing the point of my story but Mt. Union seems to be the Catholic Memorial of d3football.....

No love for the East in the ATN.

PC even gets the last word in in his own articles... look at the surprises/dissapointments section.

That's why I'm hyper-critical of backward tiebreaker systems, flawed SoS calculations and systems, weird bracketing and poor officiating

All DIII ECAC and NCAC football officials suck.  Its science.

ECAC was about as bad as I've seen this year, JT.  They had several instances of mis-spotting the ball in Union games this year.  That's about as basic as it gets.

Most of them make me ill.  Many think they aren't doing their job if they don't throw a flag. Others don't have the balls to make a tough call. They should remove offensive pass interference from DIII.  JT hasn't seen anyone that has the balls to call it in years.

JT ref'ed from 1985 - 1998. Some of JT best games, he never threw a flag.  Youngest carded HS ref in the country at one point. Aced the NCAA exam three times, and never got the call.  Decided he'd rather enjoy football then deal with old boy politics.

And it was NCAC officials on the clock game in 2001 Rowan vs. Bridgewater.  Finally got all the names and addresses of the offending refs.  If I'm ever afflicted with a fatal disease, and Rowan hasn't won a title, I will go and punch each one in the mouth or piss on their graves.  I'll take what is available.

We've both got a passion and appreciation for our club and DIII football. 2001 was the team that was going to bring the title back East.  Thought about publishing names and addresses on my site, but that really doesn't accomplish much.  I'll know where they are, got it set up so I'll know if they move or die.

I love you JT.......I hope you love me..... :o

JT

Don't be scared.  Just hope you never go through anything like that.  Being beaten on the field when you have the best team is one thing.  Losing because refs aren't controlling the clock is another.

I'm really a nice guy. I don't sweat the small stuff.  I tried finding the names of the officials after the game.  Usually they are listed in the post game stats.  But these guys weren't listed.  Every turn was a dead end.  People in the know seemed to take pleasure in keeping this travesty a secret.  Made me more determined, just to see if I could do it.

Supe should just spell his way.  It isn't that big a deal.  I didn't do anything special.  Anyone good with public information can do the same thing.  I'm not going to publish anything.  And the only time I'm going out to the greater Ohio area is if Rowan is out there playing Mount Union.
