KS, I felt like Ithaca had a shot against MUC... after seeing TCNJ play, I believe that they will get monkey stomped as they are not that impressive, I believe that they would have beaten, Alfred, but I think they would of lost to Hobart, Fisher or Union and those are the teams that I have seen this year

If TCNJ wasn't that impressive, what does that say about RPI???

All this TCNJ bashing sounds a lot like sour grapes.  It never made sense to me that the reaction of fans of a team that just LOST, is to immediately bash the other team.  It's a backhanded insult at their own team!   ::)

it's also interesting to see someone who's never posted here before show up after their team wins....

What a debacle by RPI today! This is the first time (and the last) I ever rooted for RPI! Four turnovers in the 2nd half? How many times can you ask your D to help you. In hindsight I think I actually enjoyed listening to them lose. I just feel bad because their loss makes the LL look bad.

a) you are a complete jhonny-come-lately tool. You are a Union fan, right? Nice effort in the ECACs. As far as the LL, Hobart fared a bit worse. RPI gave the game away. Go back to your parents basement.
b) RT hopes you listened to the game on the D3.com webcast

One of quite possibly the stupiest coaching decisions ever...you always go for the points that late in a game...  RPI played like they wanted to go home for thanksgiving...TCNJ will get triple monkey stomped by MUC

Hobarts Fake punt inside their own 20, while down only 3pts, might give that one a run...

Making a dumb call when losing is a lot different than making an idiotic call when LEADING, with a chance to ice the game.  I'm still ill from it.

LD....you made your point. No need to pile on. Everyone who matters in Troy reads this...you know how enemies of the state are treated.

a) apology given. My loyalty to RPI football was offended by ignorant comments. However, as anyone who listened will attest, RT gave a completely neutral account of things on Sat
b) there was no affiliation that RT sees in point b) on his last post...just saying that RT hopes he listened to the game on the D3 cast.

There's a difference in loyalty to the program, and turning your head to obvious shortcomings and poor decisions.  If I wasn't 'loyal', I wouldn't care that they lost, and i'd chalk it up to another wonderful 8-2 year, where the teams' potential wasn't even nearly touched.  I understand you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, so I apologize for posting mine.  A spade is a spade...

RT hears you....he also thinks that the staff and players feel alot worse then us fans, no matter what we may think to the contrary. RT actually watched those players closely and they played their ballz off....unfortunately, they didn't execute at some key times and made some costly mistakes. It is what it is.  TCNJ made costly mistakes as well. We all knew that whoever controlled the clock and had fewer turnovers would win. This is playoff football.

We all keep picking on the field goal but guess what, how about turnovers inside our 50? How about INT's in the end zone? How about missed 4th down conversions? How about missed FG's? ...did you ever think that if RPI had a kicker that was just a minutely bit consistent, they'd go for the FG? They missed twoFGs less than 25yd against WPI so that was a complete wild card on Sat. These things ALL contributed to the loss, not 1 coaching decision that, had it worked, would've been vindicated. RT heard that even Kinger himself said after the game that he'd kick it if he had another choice. Let's not have short memories.....in Coach King's 18 (or whatever)year tenure, RPI has won more games then they did in about 50 or so years. RPI has had 4 NCAA berths and numerous ECAC wins. Players graduate and come back to the games. Is RT mad RPI didn't kick it?...hell yeah, along with the majority of the fans. But they're the coaches and they must've had a reason to do what they did....

+K RT.  Just remember this when I launch into my season review for Union in a little while. ;)

Play nice RT. Just because I recently began posting I can't have an opinion or take a shot at my teams rival? Listen buddy being a Union fan (football and Hockey) it is not all that often I get to take a shot at RPI. Plus I was annoyed because I really did root for them all the way! I felt they gave the game away and should have won it. I probably should have chosen my words a bit better. Yet also from all the Union bashing I have read here in the past I felt it O.K. to take a shot at RPI and claim I enjoyed watching them lose (when in actuality I did not). I am sure Pat recognizes my screen name and could tell you that I am not ignorant (hopefully he could tell you) and that I am just as hard on Union and never make craz claims about their success only crazy claims about their lack there of. SO I apologize if my comments offended you but your comments are sure to discourage posters who are new to return. I have read post where you have taken shots at other teams as well so I think you should be a little more accepting of some taken at your team.

dlippiel, first off, it takes a while before one can take shots at another team here on the llpp, it is like a frat house and one must earn respect before they take their shots...you sir have not yet gotten that respect...

...and then there were 8.

That's the number of 0- and 1-loss NCAA Div. I-A teams remaining, including undefeated Hawaii and one-loss Boise State, who compete for the WAC title next.  What a truly "wac"ky year indeed.

Union took shots at RPI for about 100 years.....and RT is pretty sure that he doesn't discourage new posters. Read more of the posts and you'll see. You just showed how not-current you are...RPI guys on here haven't been bashing Union football nor vice-versa. We've bashed isolated instances of BS fan or player behavior but not each other's programs....they're too intertwined. There's a strange, mutual competitive hatred yet respect. RT stopped bashing teams along time ago. Has he called teams overrated and such?...sure, but RT went into his personal reflection room  several months ago and realized one thing - anyone on here who ever played the game, regardless of what team, shares a bond of August minicamp in the heat, practices in the cold when you're tired and have a ton of school work (worse if the season is going poorly), hours in the weight room, offseason training/conditioning, and every other ounce of preparation, which amounts to a year round job, to play college football whether it's D1,D2 or D3.

You have a funny way of delivering a message and it is RT's right to respond...
