And besides, who cares, this is only an internet message board, after all...

Reflections on Sat:

Was a pleasure to finally call an RPI football game. Gordon Mann is a class act and RT can sincerely say that every single broadcaster he's worked with on D3.com has been outstanding at their craft...no lie. Give credit where it's due to Pat for putting out a great product and RT is honored to be called upon to contribute.

Super...was a pleasure to meet you. Thanks for contributing to the tailgate and it was nice that you could swing by and see RPI play. Sorry RT couldnt join you guys in the endzone.

Gordon....thanks again. Was a pleasure to work with you...RT had a great time and look forward to working with you again!

Wow...controversy in the Baltimore/Cleveland game...Ball hits upright and then possibly the crossbar before bouncing out and hitting in front of posts -- FG attempt was for a Cleveland tie.  Officials on either side of the goalposts disagreed, but it was an unreviewable play (which is BS, when you think about it -- they need to change the "what is reviewable" question to anything that isn't a penalty -- everything else should be fair game).  Video shows the FG hits the support leading to the crossbar, which means that the ball bounced behind the crossbar and was good.  Officials discussed and awarded the FG to Cleveland.  Baltimore went on to lose in OT after another Cleveland FG.  Luckily, the officials got the call right.

Yeah, PG wonders why such a play would be unreviewable.  PG had always wondered what it would mean if that had happened.  Another interesting day in the NFL...

Here's the real "kicker," though...The spread on my sheet for the game was Cleveland -2.5.  That FG and the OT FG swung the game ATS too.  Allowed me to go 8 for 10 (lost the Philly game by 0.5 points and the Cincy game badly) in the early session.. The late games are killing me, though.

You do have a right to respond RT and it says a lot that you choose a personal insult to do so. I look forward to bantering with you more in the future. Maybe then you can stay away from personal insults and respect that when your team loses you are going to recieve heat for it. I have experienced that as an athlete and especially as a true Dutchman fan. See I think many RPI fans I have met are great, but some, seemingly like yourself have a double standard (just like some Union fans). When you win all is great, when you lose you can't hear it. I felt Union let the LL down last year getting spanked by SJF and again this year with a poor loss to Cortland. I can admit when my teams falls short. So I will continue to post here, I will take shots at RPI when they lose (of course never at any player or coach on a personal level because I truly respect them all) and I have that right to do so period! So you will have to deal with it. And if all you can do is come back with personal insults well more power to you.

dude...you confuse me. Look at my last response to your original post. Seriously....reread it. I'll post it for you here. I know you can read. Where do I make a personal insult in that one? How do I have a double standard? I couldn't care less if you take shots at RPI...just revisit the nature of your comments in your original post where you trash RPI's playoff performance and are derogatory. You'll get crap back when you roll up in here and make those comments...so YOU deal with it.

The Rev is about to go back into hibernation now that The Statesmen have ended their season.

It was a damn good run.  Hobart lost a few heartbreakers, but it's good to know that the teams they lost to did so well themselves.  RPI, Union and Rochester offered great competition.  Not to be cruel, but it would be nice if the lower end of the LL would kick it up about five-to-ten notches so that we will all care about more than just three league games per year.

It was a decent year for foosball in Update New York.  E8 showed their stuff in the ECACs.  Hopefully, St. John Fisher will beat Curry in round two.  Whether they meet MUC or TCNJ in round three, The Rev doesn't care, as long as St. John Fisher is there.  Good luck, Cardinals.

The Rev is in a tough bind.  He finally has a job such that he can afford to fly to NY more than once a year, but for the past three seasons, every game he attends, Hobart loses.  Is The Rev a bad luck charm?  Should he get an exorcism?  The Rev is deeply troubled by this penomenon.  It takes the joy out of flying five hours to the hub (JFK, EWR or PHL) sitting for two or three hours, flying another hour to Syracuse, driving 45 minutes to Geneva, watching the game, and then driving 2 1/2 hours home to Norwich only to wake up the next morning to drive an hour to Syracuse and relive the flights in reverse.  If The Rev is going to pull a 24 hour marathon of flying and driving, The Statesmen have to throw him a bone and win.  The Rev makes it more difficult by always choosing either RPI or Union.  Looks like the Rev made the wrong choice this season.

If Hobart just has one win per season, the Statesmen need to coordinate this victory with The Rev.  That's all he's asking, really.

"Gro, RT et al...
The fun bunch from the MIAC board (St. John's) has landed on the Iowa (IIAC) board since the Johnnies play Central on Saturday. The Iowa boys can't understand why we are on their board & we we keep talking about Hamm's beer ???

A little Liberty League chatter should really shake them up. That is if you are bored & are looking for some fun ;)

We'll be there all week and please remember to tip the wait staff ;D
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!
