PBRWarriors are going to have to take down 2 faithful in the LLPPSCFJFFL as they are both in his way to the championship and the LLPP shoes!! sorry LD and Gro its nothing personal just bizness!!! (this is based on current playoff projections)

Trying to take down the 10-3 Yazz Flute is like pulling on superman's cape.

Well, pending LD11 still makes the playoffs in Gro's douchebrain 6 team playoff, I think I have the team to beat.  My problem is, my team is TOO good, and sometimes, I play the wrong guys and have a bench scoring almost as much as my starters, kinda like this week.  Larry Fitz gets me ZERO?  Unreal.

Re: Contracts.

They should do this in Division III. Wouldn't you guys want to see what guys like Joe King and John Audino make? I'll bet they get there country club dues paid for to Saratoga National and Pinehaven, respectively.

Reg really doesn't care what those guys make....honestly it's not like we are paying them crazy championship spiffs, promotional fees and guest appearance bonuses, so it's probably very similar to a professor with a similar tenure.  If you look at the Buffalo head coach, he makes $120k....and that used to be a D3 program.  (I'm sure they had to juice up his salary with the program change)
I would like to know how much Mario the parking guy gets paid.  Look into that DC08.

Not as many state schools in Division III. The state school contracts are public record -- you can do a FOIA request and get them.

Someone at a local paper should try to investigate and see what these contracts are like. Do you know anyone? :)

Forget coaches salaries... Whenever they finish RPI's new athletics complex... please give Coach King a designated parking spot. No one dares to park in Mario's lot without the proper decal... NOBODY.

If Welker can score 26.52 fantasy points KS Monkeyspankers will bring down the Yazz Flute.  Last time KS started Leon Washington he got almost nothing, yesterday he went nuts.  KS sucks at this.

the good news, gro already made the playoffs.
the bad news, welker is totally capable of putting up 27 points.

Anyone see Welkers schweet porno stache on ESPN this morning? He looked like Kip from Napolean Dynamite.

On a different note, I think the BCS is garbage.   The team ranked 7th on Saturday morning is playing for the National Championship.  1 and 2 lost......

Does it make ANY sense that LSU and Ohio State get the honor to play for the title?  I think at the very LEAST, they should have 4 teams make it.  Virginia Tech, although losing to LSU by a ton earlier in the season, deserves a shot at the title JUST as much as anyone else.  And you really can't say that Georgia doesn't deserve a shot too.  It's just ridiculous.  The D1 setup is garbage.  Watching the BC/Tech game, all I could think of was, no matter who wins, you get the ACC title and have no shot at the National Championship no matter what.  It's too bad.  It's really a turnoff.

amen LD.   If Gro hears "the season is the playoff" one more time someone is getting punched in the throat.  All the teams have different scheduels and to try to nitpick them down to 2 teams is just dumb.

I agree it is just a big turnoff.   Hawaii/Georgia is a neat matchup on paper, but what are they playing for? Nothing.   Hawaii has everything to gain (respect) and UGA has everything to lose.

Same with the other bowls, what are they playing for?

Hey if it's all about money, all the power to them.  Too bad the players graduating don't see any of that money.  It's cool though that they can say, they MIGHT have been the best team in the nation, but atleast the won the Sugar Bowl.

The conferences split up the BCS earning between teams, so it really only matters when they can send 2 teams instead of one. Notre Dame is the only school that keeps the full 15-20 mill.

LLPP Monday Morning QB Question of the day:

Was it bootleg for the Bills to run a play that picked up 20 yards when the Skins came out in the missing man formation?

I think the worse problem when I saw the rankings is that the team that was 5th with one loss (Kansas) FELL three spots without even playing...Now, sure, Missouri should probably have remained above them because of the prior week's result, but c'mon -- one weekend made them look that much worse than they looked after the Mizzou loss?!  I can accept the LSU/OSU game as being somewhat acceptable under the circumstances the BCS has given us, but this reminds me of when the East Region Committee, headed by Steve Bamford in 1995, had Union leapfrog teams that didn't play -- however, in that case, the penultimate poll did not reflect the true vote (for the sake of not getting sued, I'll let you fill in the blanks from how the stories go).  Suddenly, pollsters are all into strategic voting in the final week -- and that's just messy the way it all plays out.
