never used vista, but am very happy with xp

Thanks super57, bobby has xp at home and work is very comfortable with it.  Just didn't know if it was worth getting Vista on new computers.  One problem is that the 17" laptops only come with Vista.  Bobby wants the 17", but don't know if getting Vista shoved down bobbys throat is worth it

'gro

Gro has no problems with vista. printer is <2 years old. Other add ons have worked fine.  All the computers are going to have vista, it's going to be more of a hassle to find one that doesn't.

Don't fear vista

Well, here's a challenge for you guys:

Name all of the NFL starting QBs from this prior Sunday (or Thursday/Monday) that graduated from a BCS Conference school and that have started at least three NFL games in their career.
Brian Griese
Eli Manning
Peyton Manning
Carson Palmer
Drew Brees
Trent Edwards
Donovan McNabb
Chris Redman
Phillip Rivers
Vince Young
Vinny Testaverde
Jay Cutler
Derek Anderson
Matt Hasselbeck
Kellen Clemens

15 out of 32 -- 47%.  Odds for any QB like Ryan to succeed in the NFL seems somewhat low these days.

PBR...

Am I the only person that thinks that Tebow looks like Brandon Frasier's character in "School Ties"?

COWARD!!

Interesting factoid....."School Ties" was filmed on the Worcester Academy campus....this is where U89 PG'd

LD11's HS coach wrote and produced the football scenes in School Ties, and some of it was filmed in downtown Lowell...

Alway wondered what campus they used.  Very cool.

'gro

The fight scene in the begining (in the diner) wasn't scripted... all the extras were locals and the director told them to act naturally.

Lowell rules, best bar fight gro ever saw.  Beer bottles were flying around like arrows in '300'.

They actually used a bunch of campuses that a bunch of my snobby Chestnut Hill friends told me about when I was in high school.  I believe the main shots were from the Middlesex school (or St. Marks?) in Concord.  They were there when it was filmed and were always bragging about it.  Then I would beat them up when they came home for break.

What about Tom Brady?

And I dont think the 47% has any correlation to any other BCS quarterback today does it?

Joey Harrington
Sage Rosenfels (who replaced Matt Schaub)
Brody Croyle
Todd Collins (Mich.) who filled in for Jason Campbell
Brock Berlin
Shaun Hill (SF)(Maryland)
Kyle Boller

So that's actually 23 out of 32, 72%.

Joey Harrington didn't start
Sage Rosenfels (who replaced Matt Schaub) but schaub would count
Brody Croyle
Todd Collins (Mich.) who filled in for Jason Campbell campbell would count
Brock Berlin hasn't started 3 games
Shaun Hill (SF)(Maryland) didn't start and hasn't started 3 games
Kyle Boller

the other 5 including brady I forgot so it is in fact 20/32 62.5%

So that's actually 23 out of 32, 72%.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

JQV

Wait.  Rosenfels went to Iowa State, a member of the Big 12.  He also started a **** ton of games for the Ol' Ballcoach during that era no one in the state of Florida recognizes.

Also, how bad are the Falcons when you boo one QB to get Joey Harrington and then boo Harrington to get Chris Redman?  That has to be a low point for a fan (coming from a guy that booed Craig Erickson to get Trent Dilfer).

Rolevio knew a kid that went there when he was in High school who gave him the distinct impression there were only 50 kids or so at WA.  So a quick wikipedia check proved I had the wrong impression all these years, and a quick stroll through their notable alumni, noted Ned Harkness went there.  Harkness early in his year coached RPI to a National hockey championship, then at the end of his career set* Union's program back 10-15 years.

*  With the help of stupid NESCAC rules.

Bobby, Rolevio has read recently that the impending Service Pack 1 for Vista fixes almost all of the major complaints about Vista.

save yourself some headache and use firefox instead of internet explorer... most of gro's vista issues were browser related.

Sign that gro spends entirely too much time on D3.com
