RE: time shares

TGP and the wife went to the Princeville Resort in Kauai on a great deal ($800 for basically 5 nights for a hotel that normally runs $400-800/day) that had a time share 90 min spiel requirement.

In general, TGP believes time shares are horrible investments.

Only caveat is that you find you want to vacation a particular way each year and have very flexible travel dates (meaning you are willing to put up with the scheduling b.s. most time share co's make you go thru)

The key is going with a reputable timeshare company like RCI and if you are going to buy a timeshare you buy in an area where demand exceeds supply (meaning where other TS owners want to swap the most like Hawaii).  This gives you a better opportunity to swap and not be forced to use your week in Hawaii every year.

Hawaii is probably the best place to buy right now.  Before the hurricane New Orleans was the best and Hawaii was second.  Florida is the worst place to own because supply way exceeds demand.

JT owns a timeshare in NO.  Tough to swap weeks out right now, but its coming back.  Had it way before the Act of God happened.

Look for people re-selling timeshares instead of paying retail from the company.  You can but extra points on Ebay for about 1/2 of retail, if you decide to own.

These old Patriot Superbowl music videos are so lame and so 80's

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INBayZpjeSY

And the glam rock version "Skin the Bears"

But this LA Rams music video takes the cake.  The lyrics alone give JT the douche chills.

For all intents and purposes you have four liberals still in the race:  Hillary, Obama, McCain, and Huckabee.  Very little difference between all four if your look at their record.  McCain has a huge temper, has no grasp of economics, and panders to liberals. He's also been caught lying for weeks now.  I respect him as a war hero, but he's not Presidential material.  People have been hoodwinked.

Romney is the only true conservative left.  I hope he win a few on Super Tuesday and hang in there.  Huckabee is only in it to draw conservative votes away from Romney.  Huck has some sort of back door deal with McCain.
