On John Tomase,
Not nearly good enough today fool.  I was looking forward to seeing what Tomase had to say today....his whole defense was, "I took the word of a friend of a friend of a friend as truth."  Not good enough.....I never really respected the Boston Herald, but now view that rag as just a tiny bit ahead of the National Enquirer.

I agree U89.  This whole thing in Boston comes down to the media that hates Belichick (25%) and the national media that hate belichick (75%).  So when things are pretty much made up (like what tomase did), these guys should pay for it.

So the Boston Herald is right up there with the NY Daily News, NY Post and Newsday, all just barely ahead of the Inquirer.  That is why KS usually just reads the Weekly World News.  All the made up news that is fit to print.

A couple things:

1.  I don't know ANYONE who thought Clemens was clean...
2.  Bellicheck was given the highest fine in NFL history...
3.  The Patriots had a DRAFT PICK taken away!!!  I would have MUCH rather seen Bill suspended for a friggin game last year.  Just because they are wise beyond their years in drafting and trading for players and signing free agents, the draft pick was overlooked...
4.  What pisses me off the most is that the 'Rams Walkthrough' story came out the DAY before the Super Bowl...And it is all BS like we all know it was....I mean, it was generated byt he Boston Herald, which is basically the National Inquirer of New England.
5.  Arlen Specter spends all of his political time worrying about the NFL?  Does that make ANY sense?  That guy is old, and burnt.

U89 is also old and burnt.......I hate Arlen Specter, but don't hold that against him.

And....I agree that I would have rather seen Belichek get suspended for 2 games rather than lose that damn draft pick.

They should have made Belichek wear a pink hat (or headband depending on the weather) for the rest of the year, and instead of traditional weekly press conferences he'd have to guest host the view for 4 hours.

RPI up 2-0 on Cortland in the 2nd inning in the baseball regionals...

Would be a big win...

Belichek to Hitler in Hell:

"Sure you took Eastern Europe for a little while, but were YOU able to steal signals in the NFL for 8 years and get away with it?"

Let's face it, the Pats stole signals for 7 or so years, and got away with it....
Goodell and Kraft are friendly, and the NFL covered this up as best they could "for the good of the game" and now that is over...

But the Gov should stay out of it...but I do enjoy Specter's calls to 610 every week (Philly sports radio)

Didn't happen.....Cotland wins.....I think it's going to be a Trinity/Cortland final.  Two great teams.  Never thought I would see a NESCAC team seriously compete for a world series title....

I just responded to this, not realizing I was in the football page....oh well.  Does anyone have any news on the E8 recruiting other upstate/area teams into the league for football?  It would be great to see it down to just two leagues for football upstate.

Bman, lets remember that stealing signals is not against any rule.  If the NFL wanted to cover it up, they would have told the Patriots that since they didnt use the film THAT game like the memo says, then the new rule would say that filming ANY signals from anywhere would be illegal, and wouldnt have punished them at all.  And that still wouldnt have been covering it up. If they really wanted to cover it up, they would have taken the tapes from the Jets game, looked at them, told the Jets that the film didnt come out, and then tell the Patriots that if they filmed anything like that again (and also changed the wording of the ambigous rule) that they would lose an entire draft, millions of dollars or suspend Belichik for the season.

Again, videotaping something that isnt illegal to watch anyway cant be considered that bad.
